1I saw the Lord standing beside[1] the altar, and he said: “Strike the capitals until the thresholds shake, and shatter them on the heads of all the people;[2] and those who are left of them I will kill with the sword; not one of them shall flee away; not one of them shall escape. (Jud 16:26; Isa 6:4; Am 2:14; Zep 2:14)2“If they dig into Sheol, from there shall my hand take them; if they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down. (Ps 139:8)3If they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, from there I will search them out and take them; and if they hide from my sight at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them. (Job 26:5; Am 1:2)4And if they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it shall kill them; and I will fix my eyes upon them for evil and not for good.” (De 28:65; Jer 21:10)5The Lord God of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile, and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt; (Ps 46:6; Am 8:8)6who builds his upper chambers in the heavens and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth— the Lord is his name. (Ps 104:3; Ps 104:5; Am 4:13; Am 5:8)7“Are you not like the Cushites to me, O people of Israel?” declares the Lord. “Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor and the Syrians from Kir? (Ge 10:14; Ex 20:2; Jer 47:4; Am 1:5; Zep 3:10)8Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the surface of the ground, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” declares the Lord. (Jer 30:11; Am 9:4; Ob 1:17)9“For behold, I will command, and shake the house of Israel among all the nations as one shakes with a sieve, but no pebble shall fall to the earth. (Jer 15:7; Mt 3:12; Lu 3:17)10All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, ‘Disaster shall not overtake or meet us.’ (Am 6:3)
The Restoration of Israel
11“In that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old, (Ac 15:16)12that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name,”[3] declares the Lord who does this. (Ob 1:19; Ac 15:17)13“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the plowman shall overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. (Le 26:5; Joe 3:18)14I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. (Isa 61:4; Jer 30:3; Jer 31:5)15I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,” says the Lord your God. (Jer 3:18; Jer 24:6; Eze 34:29; Joe 3:20)

Denn ich will meine Augen auf sie richten zum Bösen und nicht zum Guten. (Jer 44:11)5Und Gott, der HERR Zebaoth, ist es, der die Erde anrührt, dass sie bebt und alle ihre Bewohner trauern müssen und dass sie sich hebt wie die Wasser des Nils und sich senkt wie der Strom Ägyptens; (Am 8:8)6er ist es, der seinen Saal in den Himmel gebaut und seinen Palast über der Erde gegründet hat, der das Wasser im Meer herbeirief und auf das Erdreich schüttete. Er heißt HERR! (Ps 104:3; Am 5:8)7Seid ihr Israeliten mir nicht gleichwie die Kuschiter?, spricht der HERR. Habe ich nicht Israel aus Ägyptenland geführt und die Philister aus Kaftor und die Aramäer aus Kir? (De 7:7; Jer 47:4)8Siehe, die Augen Gottes des HERRN sehen auf das sündige Königreich, dass ich’s vom Erdboden vertilge, wiewohl ich das Haus Jakob nicht ganz vertilgen will, spricht der HERR.9Denn siehe, ich will befehlen und das Haus Israel unter allen Heiden schütteln lassen, gleichwie man mit einem Sieb schüttelt und kein Stein zur Erde fällt.10Alle Sünder in meinem Volk sollen durchs Schwert sterben, die da sagen: Es wird das Unglück nicht so nahe sein noch uns begegnen. (Am 6:3)
Das künftige Heil des Gottesvolkes
11Zur selben Zeit will ich die zerfallene Hütte Davids wieder aufrichten und ihre Risse vermauern und, was abgebrochen ist, wieder aufrichten und will sie bauen, wie sie vorzeiten gewesen ist, (1Ki 12:19; Ac 15:16)12damit sie in Besitz nehmen, was übrig ist von Edom, und alle Heiden, über die mein Name genannt ist, spricht der HERR, der solches tut.13Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, dass man zugleich ackern und ernten, zugleich keltern und säen wird. Und die Berge werden von Most triefen, und alle Hügel werden fruchtbar sein. (Le 26:5; Joe 4:18)14Ich will die Gefangenschaft meines Volkes Israel wenden, dass sie die verwüsteten Städte wieder aufbauen und bewohnen sollen, dass sie Weinberge pflanzen und Wein davon trinken, Gärten anlegen und Früchte daraus essen. (De 30:3; Isa 65:21)15Ich will sie in ihr Land pflanzen, dass sie nicht mehr aus ihrem Lande ausgerottet werden, das ich ihnen gegeben habe, spricht der HERR, dein Gott.

Je ferai mourir le reste par l'épée: aucun d'eux ne pourra se sauver en fuyant, il n'y aura parmi eux aucun rescapé.2S'ils pénètrent dans le séjour des morts, ma main les en arrachera; s'ils montent au ciel, je les en ferai descendre.3S'ils se cachent au sommet du Carmel, je les y chercherai et je les attraperai; s'ils se cachent à mes regards dans le fond de la mer, j'ordonnerai au serpent de les y mordre.4S'ils sont emmenés en déportation par leurs ennemis, j'ordonnerai à l'épée de les y faire mourir; je dirigerai mes regards vers eux pour leur faire du mal et non du bien.»5Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, touche la terre, et elle tremble, et tous ses habitants sont dans le deuil; elle se soulève tout entière comme le Nil, et elle s'affaisse comme le fleuve d'Egypte.6Il a construit son palais dans le ciel et fondé sa voûte sur la terre; il appelle l'eau de la mer et la verse à la surface de la terre. L'Eternel est son nom.7«N'êtes-vous pas pour moi comme des Ethiopiens, Israélites? déclare l'Eternel. N'ai-je pas fait sortir Israël d'Egypte comme j'ai fait sortir les Philistins de Caphtor et les Syriens de Kir?»8Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, a les yeux sur le royaume coupable. «Je le détruirai de la surface de la terre. Toutefois ce n'est pas entièrement que je détruirai la famille de Jacob, déclare l'Eternel,9car je donnerai mes ordres et je secouerai la communauté d'Israël parmi toutes les nations comme on secoue avec le crible, sans qu'il tombe à terre un seul grain.10Tous les pécheurs de mon peuple mourront par l'épée, ceux qui disent: ‘Le malheur n'approchera pas, il ne nous atteindra pas.’11» Ce jour-là, je relèverai de sa chute la cabane de David, je réparerai ses brèches, je redresserai ses ruines, et je la reconstruirai comme elle était autrefois.12Alors ils posséderont le reste d'Edom et toutes les nations appelées de mon nom, déclare l'Eternel, celui qui fait tout cela.[1] (Ac 15:16)13»Les jours viennent, déclare l'Eternel, où le laboureur suivra de près le moissonneur, et le vendangeur le semeur, où le vin nouveau ruissellera des montagnes et coulera de toutes les collines.14Je ramènerai les déportés de mon peuple, d'Israël; ils reconstruiront les villes dévastées et les habiteront, ils planteront des vignes et en boiront le vin, ils cultiveront des jardins et en mangeront les fruits.15Je les planterai dans leur pays et ils ne seront plus arrachés du pays que je leur ai donné, dit l'Eternel, ton Dieu.»
