(Ps 10:7; Ps 97:10; Pr 4:16; Isa 65:2; Mic 2:1)5Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD. 1Von David, dem Knecht des HERRN, vorzusingen.2Es sinnt der Sünder auf Frevel / im Grund seines Herzens, er kennt kein Erschrecken vor Gott. (Ro 3:18)3Er schmeichelt Gott vor dessen Augen und findet doch seine Strafe für seinen Hass.4Seine Worte sind falsch und erlogen, verständig und gut handelt er nicht mehr.5Er trachtet auf seinem Lager nach Schaden und steht fest auf dem bösen Weg und scheut kein Arges. (Mic 2:1)6HERR, deine Güte reicht, so weit der Himmel ist, und deine Wahrheit, so weit die Wolken gehen.7Deine Gerechtigkeit steht wie die Berge Gottes / und dein Recht wie die große Tiefe. HERR, du hilfst Menschen und Tieren.8Wie köstlich ist deine Güte, Gott, dass Menschenkinder unter dem Schatten deiner Flügel Zuflucht haben! (Ps 17:8)9Sie werden satt von den reichen Gütern deines Hauses, und du tränkst sie mit Wonne wie mit einem Strom.10Denn bei dir ist die Quelle des Lebens, und in deinem Lichte sehen wir das Licht. (Jer 2:13; Joh 4:14)11Breite deine Güte über die, die dich kennen, und deine Gerechtigkeit über die Frommen.12Lass mich nicht kommen unter den Fuß der Stolzen, und die Hand der Frevler vertreibe mich nicht!13Da sind gefallen die Übeltäter, sind gestürzt und können nicht wieder aufstehen.

L’empio e il suo castigo
1Al direttore del coro. Di Davide, servo del Signore. L’iniquità parla all’empio nell’intimo del suo cuore; non c’è timor di Dio davanti agli occhi suoi.2Essa lo illude che la sua empietà non sarà scoperta né presa in odio.3Le parole della sua bocca sono iniquità e inganno; egli rifiuta di essere giudizioso e di fare il bene.4Medita iniquità sul suo letto; si tiene nella via che non è buona; non odia il male.5O Signore, la tua benevolenza giunge fino al cielo, la tua fedeltà fino alle nuvole.6La tua giustizia s’innalza come le montagne più alte, i tuoi giudizi sono profondi come il grande oceano. O Signore, tu soccorri uomini e bestie.7O Dio, com’è preziosa la tua benevolenza! Perciò i figli degli uomini cercano rifugio all’ombra delle tue ali,8si saziano dell’abbondanza della tua casa e tu li disseti al torrente delle tue delizie.9Poiché in te è la fonte della vita, e per la tua luce noi vediamo la luce.10Fa’ giungere la tua benevolenza a quelli che ti conoscono e la tua giustizia ai retti di cuore.11Non mi raggiunga il piede dei superbi, la mano degli empi non mi metta in fuga.12Ecco, quelli che fanno il male sono caduti; sono atterrati, e non possono risorgere.
