Trust in the Name of the Lord Our God

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1 May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! (Ge 35:3; Ps 59:1; Ps 69:29; Pr 18:10)

2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! (2Ch 20:8; Ps 73:17; Ps 128:5) 3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah (Ac 10:4) 4 May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! (Ps 21:2) 5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! (Ps 9:14; Ps 60:4; So 6:4; So 6:10)

6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. (Ps 28:8) 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (1Sa 17:45; 2Ch 32:8; Pr 21:31; Isa 31:1; Isa 36:9)

Gebet des Volkes für seinen König

1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen. 2 Der HERR erhöre dich in der Not, der Name des Gottes Jakobs schütze dich! (Pr 18:10) 3 Er sende dir Hilfe vom Heiligtum und stärke dich aus Zion! 4 Er gedenke all deiner Speisopfer, und dein Brandopfer sei ihm angenehm! Sela. 5 Er gebe dir, was dein Herz begehrt, und erfülle alles, was du dir vornimmst! (Ps 21:3) 6 Dann wollen wir jubeln, weil er dir hilft; / im Namen unsres Gottes erheben wir das Banner. Der HERR gewähre dir alle deine Bitten! 7 Nun weiß ich, dass der HERR seinem Gesalbten hilft / und ihn erhört von seinem heiligen Himmel, seine rechte Hand hilft mit Macht. (Ex 15:6) 8 Jene verlassen sich auf Wagen und Rosse; wir aber denken an den Namen des HERRN, unsres Gottes. (De 20:1; Ps 33:17; Isa 31:1) 9 Sie sind niedergestürzt und gefallen, wir aber stehen aufgerichtet. 10 Hilf, HERR! Der König erhöre uns, wenn wir rufen.

1 Al direttore del coro. Salmo di Davide. Il Signore ti risponda nel giorno dell’avversità; il nome del Dio di Giacobbe ti tragga in alto, in salvo; 2 ti mandi soccorso dal santuario, ti sostenga da Sion; 3 si ricordi di tutte le tue offerte e accetti il tuo olocausto. [Pausa] 4 Ti dia egli quel che il tuo cuore desidera, faccia riuscire ogni tuo progetto. 5 Noi canteremo di gioia per la tua vittoria, alzeremo le nostre bandiere nel nome del nostro Dio. Il Signore esaudisca tutte le tue richieste. 6 So già che il Signore ha salvato il suo unto e gli risponderà dal suo santo cielo, con le prodezze della sua destra. 7 Gli uni confidano nei carri, gli altri nei cavalli; ma noi invocheremo il nome del Signore, del nostro Dio. 8 Quelli si piegano e cadono; ma noi restiamo in piedi e siamo saldi. 9 O Signore, salva il re! Il Signore ci risponda nel giorno che noi lo invochiamo!
