Great Are the Lord’s Works

1 ^[1] Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. (Ps 104:35; Ps 138:1; Ps 149:1) 2 Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. (Ps 92:5; Ps 112:1; Ps 119:45; Ps 119:94; Ps 119:155; Ps 139:14; Ps 143:5; Re 3:2)

3 Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. (Ps 112:3; Ps 112:9; Ps 145:5) 4 He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. (Ps 78:4) 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. (Ps 105:8) 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; (Ps 19:7; Ps 93:5) 8 they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. 1 Halleluja! Ich danke dem HERRN von ganzem Herzen im Rate der Frommen und in der Gemeinde. 2 Groß sind die Werke des HERRN; wer sie erforscht, der hat Freude daran. 3 Was er tut, das ist herrlich und prächtig, und seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewiglich. 4 Er hat ein Gedächtnis gestiftet seiner Wunder, der gnädige und barmherzige HERR. (Ex 12:1) 5 Er gibt Speise denen, die ihn fürchten; er gedenkt auf ewig an seinen Bund. (Ps 145:15) 6 Er lässt verkündigen seine gewaltigen Taten seinem Volk, dass er ihnen gebe das Erbe der Völker. 7 Die Werke seiner Hände sind Wahrheit und Recht; alle seine Ordnungen sind beständig. 8 Sie stehen fest für immer und ewig; sie sind geschaffen wahrhaftig und recht. 9 Er sandte Erlösung seinem Volk / und gebot, dass sein Bund ewig bleiben soll. Heilig und hehr ist sein Name. 10 Die Furcht des HERRN ist der Weisheit Anfang. / Wahrhaft klug sind alle, die danach tun. Sein Lob bleibet ewiglich. (Pr 1:7)

1 Alleluia. Io celebrerò il Signore con tutto il cuore nel convegno dei giusti e nell’assemblea. 2 Grandi sono le opere del Signore e contemplate da chi le ama. 3 Le sue opere sono splendide e magnifiche e la sua giustizia dura in eterno. 4 Ha lasciato il ricordo dei suoi prodigi; il Signore è pietoso e misericordioso. 5 Egli dà cibo a quanti lo temono e si ricorda in eterno del suo patto. 6 Egli ha mostrato al suo popolo la potenza delle sue opere, gli ha dato l’eredità delle nazioni. 7 Le opere delle sue mani sono verità e giustizia; tutti i suoi precetti sono fermi, 8 stabili in eterno, fatti con verità e rettitudine. 9 Egli ha mandato a liberare il suo popolo, ha stabilito il suo patto per sempre; santo e tremendo è il suo nome. 10 Il timore del Signore è il principio della sapienza; hanno buon senso quanti lo praticano. La sua lode dura in eterno.
