1Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” (Ps 79:6; Jer 10:25; Zep 3:8; Re 15:1; Re 15:7)2So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. (Ex 9:9; Re 13:16; Re 16:11)3The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea. (Re 8:8; Re 8:9)4The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. (Ex 7:17; Re 8:10)5And I heard the angel in charge of the waters[1] say, “Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. The Seventh Bowl
17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” (Eph 2:2; Re 10:6)18And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings,[3] peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. (Da 12:1; Joe 2:2; Mt 24:21; Re 4:5; Re 6:12; Re 8:5; Re 11:13; Re 11:19)19The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. (Ps 74:18; Re 11:8; Re 11:13; Re 14:8; Re 14:10; Re 18:5)20And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. (Re 6:14)21And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds[4] each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe. 1Et j'entendis une voix forte qui venait du temple, et qui disait aux sept anges: Allez, et versez sur la terre les sept coupes de la colère de Dieu.2Le premier alla, et il versa sa coupe sur la terre. Et un ulcère malin et douloureux frappa les hommes qui avaient la marque de la bête et qui adoraient son image.3Le second versa sa coupe dans la mer. Et elle devint du sang, comme celui d'un mort; et tout être vivant mourut, tout ce qui était dans la mer.4Le troisième versa sa coupe dans les fleuves et dans les sources d'eaux. Et ils devinrent du sang.5Et j'entendis l'ange des eaux qui disait: Tu es juste, toi qui es, et qui étais; tu es saint, parce que tu as exercé ce jugement.6Car ils ont versé le sang des saints et des prophètes, et tu leur as donné du sang à boire: ils en sont dignes.7Et j'entendis l'autel qui disait: Oui, Seigneur Dieu tout puissant, tes jugements sont véritables et justes.8Le quatrième versa sa coupe sur le soleil. Et il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes par le feu;9et les hommes furent brûlés par une grande chaleur, et ils blasphémèrent le nom du Dieu qui a l'autorité sur ces fléaux, et ils ne se repentirent pas pour lui donner gloire.10Le cinquième versa sa coupe sur le trône de la bête. Et son royaume fut couvert de ténèbres; et les hommes se mordaient la langue de douleur,11et ils blasphémèrent le Dieu du ciel, à cause de leurs douleurs et de leurs ulcères, et ils ne se repentirent pas de leurs oeuvres.12Le sixième versa sa coupe sur le grand fleuve, l'Euphrate. Et son eau tarit, afin que le chemin des rois venant de l'Orient fût préparé.13Et je vis sortir de la bouche du dragon, et de la bouche de la bête, et de la bouche du faux prophète, trois esprits impurs, semblables à des grenouilles.14Car ce sont des esprits de démons, qui font des prodiges, et qui vont vers les rois de toute la terre, afin de les rassembler pour le combat du grand jour du Dieu tout puissant.15Voici, je viens comme un voleur. Heureux celui qui veille, et qui garde ses vêtements, afin qu'il ne marche pas nu et qu'on ne voie pas sa honte! -16Ils les rassemblèrent dans le lieu appelé en hébreu Harmaguédon.17Le septième versa sa coupe dans l'air. Et il sortit du temple, du trône, une voix forte qui disait: C'en est fait!18Et il y eut des éclairs, des voix, des tonnerres, et un grand tremblement de terre, tel qu'il n'y avait jamais eu depuis que l'homme est sur la terre, un aussi grand tremblement.19Et la grande ville fut divisée en trois parties, et les villes des nations tombèrent, et Dieu, se souvint de Babylone la grande, pour lui donner la coupe du vin de son ardente colère.20Et toutes les îles s'enfuirent, et les montagnes ne furent pas retrouvées.21Et une grosse grêle, dont les grêlons pesaient un talent, tomba du ciel sur les hommes; et les hommes blasphémèrent Dieu, à cause du fléau de la grêle, parce que ce fléau était très grand.
