Psalm 26

1 Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. (Ps 7:8; Ps 11:1; Ps 26:11) 2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.[1] (Ps 7:9; Ps 17:3; Ps 139:23) 3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. (2Ki 20:3; Ps 25:10; Ps 86:11) 4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. (Job 11:11; Ps 1:1) 5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. (Ps 31:6; Ps 139:21; Ps 139:22) 6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD, (Ex 30:19; Ex 30:20; De 21:6; Ps 73:13) 7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds. (Ps 9:1) 8 O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. (Ps 27:4) 9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, (Ps 28:3) 10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. (Ex 23:8; De 16:19) 11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. 12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD. (Ps 22:25; Ps 27:11)

1 De David. Rends-moi justice, Éternel! car je marche dans l'intégrité, Je me confie en l'Éternel, je ne chancelle pas. 2 Sonde-moi, Éternel! éprouve-moi, Fais passer au creuset mes reins et mon coeur; 3 Car ta grâce est devant mes yeux, Et je marche dans ta vérité. 4 Je ne m'assieds pas avec les hommes faux, Je ne vais pas avec les gens dissimulés; 5 Je hais l'assemblée de ceux qui font le mal, Je ne m'assieds pas avec les méchants. 6 Je lave mes mains dans l'innocence, Et je vais autour de ton autel, ô Éternel! 7 Pour éclater en actions de grâces, Et raconter toutes tes merveilles. 8 Éternel! j'aime le séjour de ta maison, Le lieu où ta gloire habite. 9 N'enlève pas mon âme avec les pécheurs, Ma vie avec les hommes de sang, 10 Dont les mains sont criminelles Et la droite pleine de présents! 11 Moi, je marche dans l'intégrité; Délivre-moi et aie pitié de moi! 12 Mon pied est ferme dans la droiture: Je bénirai l'Éternel dans les assemblées.
