Psalm 23

English Standard Version

from Crossway

The Lord Is My Shepherd

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Ps 34:9; Ps 78:52; Ps 80:1; Isa 40:11; Jer 31:10; Eze 34:11; Eze 34:23; Mt 6:33; Joh 10:11; Heb 13:20; 1Pe 2:25; 1Pe 5:4) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[1] (Eze 34:14; Joh 10:9) 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[2] for his name’s sake. (Ps 5:8; Ps 19:7; Ps 25:11; Ps 31:3; Ps 79:9; Ps 109:21; Ps 139:10; Ps 139:24; Ps 143:10; Pr 4:11; Pr 8:20; Isa 40:11; Isa 49:10; Eze 20:9; Eze 20:14) 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[3] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Ex 3:12; Job 3:5; Ps 3:6; Ps 27:1; Ps 27:3; Ps 118:6; Ps 138:7; Isa 43:2; Mic 7:14) 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. (2Sa 17:27; Ps 16:5; Ps 31:19; Ps 45:7; Ps 78:19; Ps 92:10; Ps 133:2; Pr 9:2; Lu 7:46; Joh 6:51) 6 Surely[4] goodness and mercy[5] shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell[6] in the house of the Lord forever.[7] (Ps 21:4; Ps 27:4)

Psalm 23

Hoffnung für alle

from Biblica
