1 To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.[1] A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present[2] help in trouble. (De 4:7; 1Ch 15:20; Ps 9:9; Ps 14:6; Ps 42:1; Ps 145:18) 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, (Ps 18:7; Eze 27:26) 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. (Ps 93:3; Jer 5:22) 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. (Ps 36:8; Ps 43:3; Ps 48:1; Ps 65:9; Ps 84:1; Ps 87:3; Isa 8:6; Isa 33:21; Isa 60:14; Re 22:1) 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. (Le 26:12; De 23:14; Isa 12:6; Eze 43:7; Eze 43:9; Ho 11:9; Joe 2:27; Zep 3:15; Zec 2:5; Zec 2:10; Zec 8:3) 6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. (Ex 15:15; Jos 2:9; Jos 2:24; Ps 2:1; Ps 18:13; Ps 68:33; Ps 76:8; Jer 25:30; Joe 2:11; Joe 3:16; Am 1:2; Am 9:5) 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Nu 14:9; 2Ch 13:12; 2Ch 20:17; Ps 46:11) 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. (Ps 66:5) 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. (1Sa 2:4; Ps 76:3; Isa 2:4; Eze 39:9; Mic 4:3) 10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Ex 14:13; Isa 2:11; Isa 2:17; Isa 33:10) 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Ps 46:7)

1 Ein Lied der Korachiter, für hohe Stimmen. 2 Gott ist unsere sichere Zuflucht, ein bewährter Helfer in aller Not. (Pr 18:10) 3 Darum haben wir keine Angst, auch wenn die Erde bebt und die Berge ins Meer versinken, 4 wenn die Fluten toben und tosen und die Berge davon erzittern: Der Herr der Welt ist bei uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz![1] (Ps 27:1) 5 Frisches Wasser strömt durch die Gottesstadt, in der die heilige Wohnung des Höchsten ist. (Eze 47:1) 6 Gott selbst ist in ihren Mauern, nichts kann sie erschüttern. Er bringt ihr Hilfe, bevor der Morgen graut. 7 Er lässt seine Stimme hören – und die Völker zittern, Königsthrone wanken, die ganze Erde vergeht vor Angst. (Ps 29:3) 8 Der Herr der Welt ist bei uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz! 9 Kommt und seht, wie mächtig der HERR ist, wie er Furcht und Schrecken auf der Erde verbreitet: 10 Er macht dem Krieg ein Ende in aller Welt; die Bogen zerbricht er, die Spieße zerschlägt er, die Schilde verbrennt er. (Ps 76:4; Isa 2:4) 11 »Macht Frieden!«, ruft er. »Erkennt, dass ich Gott bin! Ich habe Macht über die Völker der Erde.« 12 Der Herr der Welt ist bei uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz!
