You Will Not Abandon My Soul

Du zeigst mir den Weg zum Leben

1 Ein Lied Davids. Schütze mich, Gott! Ich vertraue dir. 2 Ich sage zu dir:^[1] »Du bist mein Herr. Mein Glück finde ich allein bei dir!« (Ps 73:25; La 3:24) 3 Im Land werden viele Götter verehrt, an denen auch ich meine Freude hatte. Jetzt aber sage ich:^[2] (Ho 2:19; Zec 13:2) 4 Wer anderen Göttern nachläuft, muss seine volle Strafe tragen. Ich gieße diesen Göttern kein Opferblut mehr hin; nicht einmal ihre Namen spreche ich aus. 5 HERR, was ich brauche, du teilst es mir zu; du hältst mein Los in der Hand. (Nu 18:20; Jos 18:10) 6 Mir ist ein schöner Anteil zugefallen;^[3] was du mir zugemessen hast, gefällt mir gut. 7 Ich preise den HERRN, der mir sagt, was ich tun soll; auch nachts erinnert mich mein Gewissen an seinen Rat. 8 Er ist mir nahe, das ist mir immer bewusst. Er steht mir zur Seite, nichts kann mich erschüttern. (Ac 2:25) 9 Darum bin ich voll Freude und Dank, ich weiß mich beschützt und geborgen. 10 Du, HERR, wirst mich nicht der Totenwelt preisgeben! Du wirst nicht zulassen, dass ich für immer im Grab ende; denn ich halte in Treue zu dir! (Ps 9:14; Ps 30:4; Da 12:2) 11 Du führst mich den Weg zum Leben. In deiner Nähe finde ich ungetrübte Freude; aus deiner Hand kommt mir ewiges Glück.
