Sing to the Lord a New Song

1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! (Ps 33:3; Ps 89:5; Ps 89:7; Ps 148:14)

3 Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! (Ex 15:20; Ps 30:11; Ps 150:3; Ps 150:4)

4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. (Ps 35:27; Ps 147:11; Isa 61:3) 5 Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. (Job 35:10; Ps 4:4; Ps 63:6; Ho 7:14)

6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, (Ps 66:17; Pr 5:4; Heb 4:12; Re 1:16; Re 2:12)

7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, (Job 36:8) 9 to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the Lord! (Job 13:26; Ps 148:14; Isa 65:6)

Gott bringt sein Volk zu Ehren

1 Halleluja – Preist den HERRN! Singt dem HERRN ein neues Lied, preist ihn, wenn ihr zusammenkommt, alle, die ihr zu ihm haltet! (Ps 96:1) 2 Freu dich, Volk Israel: Er ist dein Schöpfer! Du Gemeinde auf dem Zionsberg, juble ihm zu: Er ist dein König! (1Sa 12:12; Ps 24:7; Ps 100:3) 3 Rühmt ihn mit festlichem Reigentanz, singt ihm zum Takt der Tamburine, ehrt ihn mit eurem Saitenspiel! 4 Denn der HERR ist freundlich zu seinem Volk, er erhöht die Erniedrigten durch seine Hilfe. (Ps 75:8) 5 Alle, die zum HERRN gehören, sollen jubeln, weil er sie zu Ehren bringt! Sie sollen vor Freude singen, auch in der Nacht!^[1] 6 Mit lauter Stimme sollen sie ihn preisen, scharfe Schwerter in ihren Händen! 7 Sie sollen Gottes Gericht vollziehen, an allen Völkern Vergeltung üben, 8 deren Könige und alle Mächtigen fesseln und in eiserne Ketten legen! 9 So werden sie Gottes Urteil vollstrecken, wie in prophetischen Büchern geschrieben steht. Allen, die zum HERRN gehören, verleiht er königliche Pracht. Preist den HERRN – Halleluja! (Ps 2:10; Ps 47:4; Ps 47:10; Isa 24:21; Isa 45:14)
