I Will Walk with Integrity

1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music. (Ex 34:7) 2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; (Ex 20:24; 1Ki 9:4; Ps 4:4; Ps 78:72; Ps 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48; Joh 14:23)

3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. (De 15:9; Ps 40:4) 4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. (Pr 11:20; Pr 17:20; 1Co 5:11) 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. 6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. (Ps 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48) 7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. (Ps 52:2; Ps 102:28) 8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord. 1 Ein Lied Davids. Ich will singen von Güte und Recht; HERR, darum singe und spiele ich für dich. (Ps 72:1; Ps 72:12) 2 Ich achte darauf, untadelig zu leben. Wann wirst du zu mir kommen? Mit redlichem Herzen lebe ich unter denen, die mich umgeben. 3 Ich befasse mich nicht mit Unheilsplänen. Gottes Gebote zu übertreten ist mir verhasst, niemand soll mir das nachsagen können. 4 Von Schlechtigkeit will ich nichts wissen; darum sollen hinterhältige Menschen mir fernbleiben. 5 Wer seinen Nachbarn verleumdet – auch wenn es nicht öffentlich geschieht –, den bringe ich für immer zum Schweigen. Ich dulde niemand, der überheblich ist und auf andere herabsieht. 6 Aber ich halte Ausschau nach allen im Land, die treu und zuverlässig sind; mit solchen Leuten umgebe ich mich. Wenn jemand ein vorbildliches Leben führt, dann nehme ich ihn in meinen Dienst. 7 Für Menschen, die betrügen, ist kein Platz in meiner Nähe und solche, die lügen, müssen mir aus den Augen. 8 Jeden Morgen halte ich strenges Gericht über alle Verbrecher im Land. Jeden, der andere ins Unglück stürzt, will ich aus der Stadt des HERRN entfernen. (Pr 20:26)
