7 Wer nichts gelernt hat, für den ist die Weisheit erfahrener Männer zu hoch; in der Ratsversammlung muss er den Mund halten.

8 Wer ständig Teufeleien ausheckt, wird bald ein Teufel genannt. 9 Wenn jemand unbelehrbar ist, führt alles, was er sich vornimmt, zur Sünde; und ein Mensch, dem nichts heilig ist, ist bei allen verhasst.

10 Du magst dich für stark halten – ob du es bist, zeigt sich erst in der Not.

11 Lass nicht zu, dass unschuldige Menschen verurteilt werden. Tu alles, was du kannst, um sie vor dem Tod zu retten. 12 Rede dich nicht damit heraus, dass du nichts gewusst hast. Gott sieht dir ins Herz und weiß, ob du die Wahrheit sagst. Er belohnt oder bestraft jeden Menschen, wie er es aufgrund seiner Taten verdient hat. (Jer 17:10)

13 Mein Sohn, Honig ist etwas Gutes und ein Genuss für den Gaumen. 14 Weisheit aber ist gut für dein ganzes Leben. Wenn du sie erwirbst, dann kannst du hoffnungsvoll in die Zukunft blicken und deinem Glück steht nichts mehr im Weg.

15 Suche nicht mit List und Tücke einen redlichen Mann um Haus und Hof zu bringen. 16 Denn der Rechtschaffene kommt immer wieder auf die Füße, sooft ihn auch das Unglück zu Boden schlägt. Aber der Unheilstifter kommt zu Fall und steht nie mehr auf. (Ps 37:23)

17 Wenn dein Feind ins Unglück gerät, dann sei nicht schadenfroh! (Job 31:29) 18 Das gefällt dem HERRN nicht und könnte ihn veranlassen, ihm den Rest der Strafe zu schenken.

(Pr 25:11) 27 Erledige zuerst, was du draußen zu tun hast, bestelle deine Felder für die Ernte; dann kannst du ein Haus bauen und eine Familie gründen. 28 Belaste niemand mit einer Falschaussage! Oder willst du wissentlich lügen? (Pr 19:5) 29 Denke nicht: »Wie du mir, so ich dir; jetzt wird die Rechnung beglichen!« (Pr 20:22) 30 Am Feld eines Faulpelzes ging ich vorüber, am Weinberg des Mannes ohne Verstand. 31 Dort wuchsen statt Reben nur Dornen und Disteln, wild wucherndes Unkraut bedeckte das Land, die Mauer ringsum war schon völlig zerfallen. 32 Ich sah es und zog meine Lehre daraus: 33 »Etwas schlummern und schlafen, die Arme verschränken, (Pr 6:10) 34 und schnell kommen Armut und Not dir ins Haus.«
