1 After the plague, the LORD said to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron, the priest, (Nu 25:9) 2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the people of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all in Israel who are able to go to war.” (Ex 30:12; Ex 38:25; Ex 38:26; Nu 1:2; Nu 1:3) 3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, (Nu 22:1; Nu 26:63) 4 “Take a census of the people,[1] from twenty years old and upward,” as the LORD commanded Moses. The people of Israel who came out of the land of Egypt were: (Nu 1:1) 5 Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the clan of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the clan of the Palluites; (Ge 46:8; Ge 46:9; Ex 6:14; 1Ch 5:1) 6 of Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the clan of the Carmites. 7 These are the clans of the Reubenites, and those listed were 43,730. (Nu 1:21) 8 And the sons of Pallu: Eliab. 9 The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the Dathan and Abiram, chosen from the congregation, who contended against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against the LORD (Nu 1:16; Nu 16:2) 10 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured 250 men, and they became a warning. (Nu 16:31; Nu 16:38; 1Co 10:6; 2Pe 2:6) 11 But the sons of Korah did not die. (Ex 6:24; 1Ch 6:22; 1Ch 16:32) 12 The sons of Simeon according to their clans: of Nemuel, the clan of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the clan of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the clan of the Jachinites; (Ge 46:10; Ex 6:15; 1Ch 4:24) 13 of Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the clan of the Shaulites. 14 These are the clans of the Simeonites, 22,200. (Nu 1:23) 15 The sons of Gad according to their clans: of Zephon, the clan of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the clan of the Haggites; of Shuni, the clan of the Shunites; (Ge 46:16) 16 of Ozni, the clan of the Oznites; of Eri, the clan of the Erites; 17 of Arod, the clan of the Arodites; of Areli, the clan of the Arelites. 18 These are the clans of the sons of Gad as they were listed, 40,500. (Nu 1:25) 19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. (Ge 38:3; Ge 46:12; 1Ch 2:3) 20 And the sons of Judah according to their clans were: of Shelah, the clan of the Shelanites; of Perez, the clan of the Perezites; of Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites. 21 And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the clan of the Hamulites. 22 These are the clans of Judah as they were listed, 76,500. (Nu 1:27) 23 The sons of Issachar according to their clans: of Tola, the clan of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the clan of the Punites; (Ge 46:13; 1Ch 7:1) 24 of Jashub, the clan of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites. 25 These are the clans of Issachar as they were listed, 64,300. (Nu 1:29) 26 The sons of Zebulun, according to their clans: of Sered, the clan of the Seredites; of Elon, the clan of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the clan of the Jahleelites. (Ge 46:14) 27 These are the clans of the Zebulunites as they were listed, 60,500. (Nu 1:31) 28 The sons of Joseph according to their clans: Manasseh and Ephraim. (Ge 46:20) 29 The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the clan of the Machirites; and Machir was the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites. (Nu 36:1; Jos 17:1; 1Ch 7:14) 30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Iezer, the clan of the Iezerites; of Helek, the clan of the Helekites; 31 and of Asriel, the clan of the Asrielites; and of Shechem, the clan of the Shechemites; 32 and of Shemida, the clan of the Shemidaites; and of Hepher, the clan of the Hepherites. 33 Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters. And the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. (Nu 27:1; Nu 36:11; Jos 17:3) 34 These are the clans of Manasseh, and those listed were 52,700. (Nu 1:35) 35 These are the sons of Ephraim according to their clans: of Shuthelah, the clan of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the clan of the Becherites; of Tahan, the clan of the Tahanites. 36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the clan of the Eranites. 37 These are the clans of the sons of Ephraim as they were listed, 32,500. These are the sons of Joseph according to their clans. (Nu 1:33) 38 The sons of Benjamin according to their clans: of Bela, the clan of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the clan of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the clan of the Ahiramites; (Ge 46:21; 1Ch 7:6; 1Ch 8:1) 39 of Shephupham, the clan of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the clan of the Huphamites. 40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the clan of the Ardites; of Naaman, the clan of the Naamites. 41 These are the sons of Benjamin according to their clans, and those listed were 45,600. (Nu 1:37) 42 These are the sons of Dan according to their clans: of Shuham, the clan of the Shuhamites. These are the clans of Dan according to their clans. (Ge 46:23) 43 All the clans of the Shuhamites, as they were listed, were 64,400. (Nu 1:39) 44 The sons of Asher according to their clans: of Imnah, the clan of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the clan of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the clan of the Beriites. (Ge 46:17; 1Ch 7:30; 1Ch 7:31) 45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the clan of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the clan of the Malchielites. 46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah. 47 These are the clans of the sons of Asher as they were listed, 53,400. (Nu 1:41) 48 The sons of Naphtali according to their clans: of Jahzeel, the clan of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the clan of the Gunites; (Ge 46:24; 1Ch 7:13) 49 of Jezer, the clan of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the clan of the Shillemites. 50 These are the clans of Naphtali according to their clans, and those listed were 45,400. (Nu 1:43) 51 This was the list of the people of Israel, 601,730. (Nu 1:46) 52 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 53 “Among these the land shall be divided for inheritance according to the number of names. (Jos 11:23; Jos 14:1; Jos 14:2; Ps 105:44) 54 To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance; every tribe shall be given its inheritance in proportion to its list. (Nu 33:54; Nu 35:8) 55 But the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit. (Nu 33:54; Nu 34:13; Jos 11:23; Jos 14:2) 56 Their inheritance shall be divided according to lot between the larger and the smaller.” 57 This was the list of the Levites according to their clans: of Gershon, the clan of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the clan of the Kohathites; of Merari, the clan of the Merarites. (Ge 46:11; Ex 6:16; 1Ch 6:1; 1Ch 6:16) 58 These are the clans of Levi: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, the clan of the Korahites. And Kohath was the father of Amram. 59 The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam their sister. (Ex 2:1; Ex 2:2; Ex 2:4; Ex 6:20) 60 And to Aaron were born Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. (Nu 3:2; 1Ch 24:1) 61 But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD. (Le 10:1; Le 10:2; Nu 3:4; 1Ch 24:2) 62 And those listed were 23,000, every male from a month old and upward. For they were not listed among the people of Israel, because there was no inheritance given to them among the people of Israel. (Nu 1:49; Nu 3:39; Nu 18:20) 63 These were those listed by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who listed the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. (Nu 22:1; Nu 26:3) 64 But among these there was not one of those listed by Moses and Aaron the priest, who had listed the people of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. (Nu 1:44; De 2:14; De 2:15) 65 For the LORD had said of them, “They shall die in the wilderness.” Not one of them was left, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. (Nu 13:6; Nu 14:28; Nu 14:29; 1Co 10:5)

1 Después de aquella plaga, sucedió que YHVH habló a Moisés y a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo: 2 Haced el censo de toda la asamblea de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años arriba, por sus casas paternas. Todos los de Israel aptos para el ejército. 3 Entonces Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, mandando: 4 ¡De veinte años arriba, como ordenó YHVH a Moisés! Y los hijos de Israel que habían salido de la tierra de Egipto fueron: 5 Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Los hijos de Rubén fueron: de Enoc, la familia del enoquita, y de Falú, la familia del faluita. 6 De Hezrón, la familia del hezronita, y de Carmi, la familia del carmita. 7 Tales son las familias del rubenita. Los empadronados de ellas fueron cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta. 8 Hijos de Falú: Eliab. 9 Los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Estos Datán y Abiram fueron los jefes de la asamblea que se rebelaron contra Moisés y Aarón con el grupo de Coré, cuando se rebelaron contra YHVH. 10 Entonces la tierra abrió su boca y los tragó juntamente con Coré, mientras el grupo moría al devorar el fuego a doscientos cincuenta varones, para que sirvieran de escarmiento. 11 Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron. 12 Hijos de Simeón, por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia del nemuelita, de Jamín, la familia del jaminita, y de Jaquín, la familia del jaquinita. 13 De Zera, la familia del zeraíta, y de Saúl, la familia del saulita. 14 Tales son las familias del simeonita: veintidós mil doscientos. 15 Hijos de Gad por sus familias: de Zefón, la familia del zefonita, de Hagui, la familia del haguita, y de Suni, la familia del sunita. 16 De Ozni, la familia del oznita, y de Eri, la familia del erita. 17 De Arod, la familia del arodita, y de Areli, la familia del arelita. 18 Tales son las familias de los hijos de Gad, según sus empadronados: cuarenta mil quinientos. 19 Hijos de Judá: Er y Onán. Y Maquir engendró a Galaad. De Galaad, la familia del galaadita. 30 Estos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia del jezerita, y de Helec, la familia del helequita. 31 De Asriel, la familia del asrielita, y de Siquem, la familia del siquemita. 32 De Semida, la familia del semidaíta, y de Hefer, la familia del heferita. 33 Y Zelofejad ben Hefer, no tuvo hijos sino hijas. Los nombres de las hijas de Zelofejad fueron Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca, y Tirsa. 34 Tales son las familias de Manasés, y su número: cincuenta y dos mil setecientos. 35 Estos son los hijos de Efraín por sus familias: de Sutela, la familia del sutelaíta, de Bequer, la familia del bequerita, y de Tahán, la familia del tahanita. 36 Y estos son los hijos de Sutela: de Herán, la familia del heranita. 37 Estos son las familias de los hijos de Efraín según sus empadronados: treinta y dos mil quinientos. Tales son los hijos de José por sus familias. 38 Hijos de Benjamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia del belaíta, de Asbel, la familia del asbelita, y de Aquiram, la familia del aquiramita. 39 De Sufam, la familia del sufamita y de Hufam, la familia del hufamita. 40 Los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán. De Ard, la familia del ardita, y de Naamán, la familia del naamanita. 41 Tales son los hijos de Benjamín por sus familias. Y su número: cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos. 42 Estos son los hijos de Dan por sus familias: de Suham, la familia del suhamita. Tales son las familias de Dan por sus familias: 43 Todas las familias del suhamita, según sus empadronados: sesenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos. 44 Hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Imna, la familia del imnaíta, de Isuí, la familia del isuita, y de Beria, la familia del beriaíta. 45 Hijos de Beria: de Heber, la familia del heberita, y de Malquiel, la familia del malquielita. 46 Y el nombre de la hija de Aser era Sera. 47 Tales son las familias de los hijos de Aser, según sus empadronados: cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos. 48 Hijos de Neftalí por sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia del jahzeelita, y de Guni, la familia del gunita. 49 De Jeser, la familia del jeserita, y de Silem, la familia del silemita. 50 Tales son las familias de Neftalí según sus familias. Y su número: cuarenta y cinco mil cuatrocientos. 51 Los empadronados de los hijos de Israel fueron seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta. 52 Y habló YHVH a Moisés, diciendo: 53 A éstos se repartirá la tierra en heredad, según el número de nombres. 54 A los más numerosos les aumentarás su heredad, y a los menos numerosos les disminuirás su heredad. A cada uno se le dará su heredad conforme a los empadronados. 55 Sólo por sorteo se repartirá el país, y adquirirán la heredad por los nombres de las tribus paternas. 56 Por sorteo se repartirá la heredad entre el grande y el pequeño. 57 Y estos son los empadronados de los levitas según sus familias: de Gersón, la familia del gersonita, de Coat, la familia del coatita, de Merari, la familia del merarita. 58 Estas son las familias de Leví: la familia del libnita, la familia del hebronita, la familia del mahalita, la familia del musita, la familia del coreíta. Y Coat engendró a Amram, 59 y la mujer de Amram se llamaba Jocabed, hija de Leví, que le había nacido a Leví en Egipto. Ésta dio a luz para Amram a Aarón, a Moisés y a Miriam su hermana. 60 Y a Aarón le nacieron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar. 61 Pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de YHVH. 62 Y los levitas empadronados fueron veintitrés mil, todos varones de un mes arriba. Y no fueron contados con los hijos de Israel por cuanto no se les dio heredades entre los hijos de Israel. 63 Estos son los empadronados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, quienes empadronaron a los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán frente a Jericó. 64 Entre ellos no existía ya ninguno de los empadronados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón, quienes hicieron el censo de los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinay. 65 Porque YHVH había dicho de ellos: Morirán sin remisión en el desierto. Y no quedó ningún varón de ellos, excepto Caleb ben Jefone, y Josué ben Nun.
