2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? (Ps 77:6) 3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, (1Sa 14:27; Ezr 9:8; Ps 5:1; Ps 19:8; Ps 119:153; Pr 29:13; Jer 51:39; Eph 1:18)

4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. (De 32:27; Ps 10:6) 5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. (Ps 9:14; Ps 11:1) 6 I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.
