1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! (Ps 36:5; Isa 48:11; Eze 36:22; Da 9:18) 2 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” (Ex 32:12; Nu 14:13; Ps 42:3) 3 Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. (Ps 11:4; Ps 135:6; Da 4:35) 4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. (De 4:28; 2Ki 19:18; Ps 135:15; Isa 37:19; Isa 44:10; Jer 10:3; Ac 19:26) 5 They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. (Isa 46:7; Hab 2:18) 6 They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. 7 They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. 8 Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. (Isa 44:9) 9 O Israel,[1] trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 33:20; Ps 37:3; Ps 62:8; Ps 118:2; Ps 135:19) 10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 3:3; Ps 115:9) 11 You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 22:23; Ps 103:11; Ps 103:13; Ps 103:17) 12 The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; (Ps 118:2; Ps 135:19) 13 he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great. (Ps 112:1; Jer 16:6; Jer 31:34) 14 May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! (De 1:11) 15 May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth! (Ge 1:1; Ge 14:19; Ru 2:20; Ps 121:2; Ps 124:8; Ps 134:3; Ps 146:6; Jer 10:11; Ac 14:15; Re 14:7) 16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man. 17 The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence. (Ps 6:5; Ps 31:17) 18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord! (Ps 104:35; Ps 113:2)

1 Ne nám, Hospodine, ne nám, ale jménu svému dej čest, pro milosrdenství své a pro pravdu svou. 2 Proč mají říkati pohané: Kdež jest nyní Bůh jejich? 3 Ješto Bůh náš jest na nebi, čině všecko, což se mu líbí. 4 Modly pak jejich jsou stříbro a zlato, dílo rukou lidských. 5 Ústa mají, a nemluví, oči mají, a nevidí. 6 Uši mají, a neslyší, nos mají, a nečijí. 7 Ruce mají, a nemakají, nohy mají, a nechodí, aniž volati mohou hrdlem svým. 8 Nechať jsou jim podobni, kteříž je dělají, a kdožkoli v nich doufají. 9 Izraeli, doufej v Hospodina, nebo spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest. 10 Dome Aronův, doufej v Hospodina, spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest. 11 Kteříž se bojíte Hospodina, doufejte v Hospodina, spomocníkem a štítem takových on jest. 12 Hospodin rozpomena se na nás, požehná; požehná domu Izraelovu, požehná i domu Aronovu. 13 Požehná bojícím se Hospodina, malým, i velikým. 14 Rozmnoží Hospodin vás, vás i syny vaše. 15 Požehnaní vy od Hospodina, kterýž učinil nebesa i zemi. 16 Nebesa jsou nebesa Hospodinova, zemi pak dal synům lidským. 17 Ne mrtví chváliti budou Hospodina, ani kdo ze všech těch, kteříž sstupují do místa mlčení, 18 Ale my dobrořečiti budeme Hospodinu od tohoto času až na věky. Halelujah.
