1 Von David. Preisen will ich dich mit meinem ganzen Herzen, ich will dir spielen vor den Göttern. (Ps 9,2) 2 Ich falle nieder vor deinem heiligen Tempel, und deinen Namen preise ich wegen deiner Gnade und Treue[1]. Denn du hast dein Wort[2] groß gemacht über deinen ganzen Namen[3]. (Ps 5,8; Ps 115,1) 3 An dem Tag, da ich rief, antwortetest du mir. Du vermehrtest mir in meiner Seele die Kraft[4]. (1Sam 30,6; Ps 34,5; Kla 3,57; 2Kor 12,9) 4 Alle Könige der Erde werden dich preisen, HERR, wenn sie die Worte deines Mundes gehört haben. 5 Sie werden die Wege des HERRN besingen, denn groß ist die Herrlichkeit des HERRN. (Mal 1,11) 6 Ja, der HERR ist erhaben, doch er sieht den Niedrigen, und den Hochmütigen erkennt er von fern. (Ps 83,19; Jes 57,15) 7 Wenn ich auch mitten in Bedrängnis wandeln muss – du belebst mich. Gegen den Zorn meiner Feinde wirst du deine Hand ausstrecken, und deine Rechte wird mich retten. (Ps 18,17; Ps 119,50) 8 Der HERR wird es für mich vollenden. HERR, deine Gnade ⟨währt⟩ ewig. Gib die Werke deiner Hände nicht auf! (Hi 10,3; Ps 57,3; Ps 100,5; Phil 1,6)

Psalm 138

King James Version

1 A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. 5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. 6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. 8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
