Babel, der Feind aus dem Norden – Jeremias Leiden an seiner Gerichtsvision

5 Verkündigt es in Juda und lasst es in Jerusalem hören und sagt: Stoßt ins Horn auf dem Land! Ruft aus voller Kehle und sagt: Versammelt euch und lasst uns in die befestigten Städte ziehen! (4Mo 10,2; Jer 8,14; Hos 8,1) 6 Richtet ein Feldzeichen auf nach Zion hin! Flieht, bleibt nicht stehen! Denn ich bringe Unglück von Norden her und einen großen Zusammenbruch. (Jer 1,14; Jer 10,22; Hes 9,2) 7 Ein Löwe steigt herauf aus seinem Dickicht, und ein Zerstörer der Nationen bricht auf. Er zieht von seinem Ort aus, um dein Land zur Wüste zu machen, deine Städte verfallen, sind ohne Bewohner. (3Mo 26,31; Jer 2,15; Jer 5,6; Jer 8,16; Jer 22,6; Jer 49,19; Dan 7,4)

9 Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tag, spricht der HERR^[9], da wird das Herz^[10] des Königs und das Herz^[11] der Obersten vergehen. 12 ein Wind, stärker als dieser, wird ⟨von⟩ mir kommen. Nun will auch ich Gerichtsurteile über sie sprechen. 14 Wasche dein Herz rein von Bosheit, Jerusalem, damit du gerettet wirst! Wie lange sollen deine heillosen Pläne in deinem Innern schlummern^[14]? (Jer 13,27; Jer 18,11) 15 Denn eine Stimme berichtet von Dan her und verkündet Unheil^[15] vom Gebirge Ephraim aus. (Jer 8,16) 16 Ruft es den Nationen ins Gedächtnis, siehe, verkündet es Jerusalem^[16]: Belagerer kommen aus einem fernen Land und lassen ihre Stimme erschallen gegen die Städte Judas! (Jes 39,3; Jer 6,18; Jer 6,22) 17 Wie Wächter auf dem Feld sind sie ringsumher gegen Jerusalem^[17]. Denn gegen mich ist es widerspenstig gewesen, spricht der HERR^[18]. 28 Darum wird die Erde trauern, und der Himmel oben schwarz werden. Denn ich habe es geredet, ich habe beschlossen, und ich habe es nicht bereut und werde nicht davon ablassen^[23]. Wenn du dich auch in Karmesin kleidest, wenn du mit goldenem Schmuck dich schmückst, wenn du deine Augen mit Schminke vergrößerst^[25]; vergeblich machst du dich schön.
