1 Und dies ist die Generationenfolge^[1] der Söhne Noahs: Sem, Ham und Jafet – ihnen wurden Söhne geboren nach der Flut. (1Mo 5,32; 1Mo 9,19) 2 Die Söhne Jafets: Gomer und Magog und Madai und Jawan und Tubal und Meschech und Tiras. 5 Von diesen verzweigten sich die Inseln^[2] der Nationen. ⟨Das sind die Söhne Jafets⟩^[3] in ihren Ländern, je nach ihrer Sprache, nach ihren Sippen, in ihren Nationen. (1Mo 9,19; 1Mo 10,25; 1Mo 11,8; 5Mo 32,8; 1Chr 1,8; Jes 11,11)

6 Und die Söhne Hams: Kusch und Mizrajim und Put^[4] und Kanaan. (1Mo 5,32; 1Mo 9,18; Jer 46,9) 7 Und die Söhne Kuschs: Seba und Hawila und Sabta und Ragma und Sabtecha. Und die Söhne Ragmas: Saba und Dedan. (Hi 1,15; Hes 27,15; Hes 27,22) 8 Und Kusch zeugte Nimrod; der war der erste Gewaltige auf der Erde. 11 Von diesem Land zog er aus nach Assur^[5] und baute Ninive und Rehobot-Ir und Kelach (Jon 1,2; Nah 1,1) 12 und Resen zwischen Ninive und Kelach: das ist die große Stadt. – 13 Und Mizrajim zeugte die Luditer und die Anamiter und die Lehabiter und die Naftuhiter 14 und die Patrositer und die Kasluhiter, von denen die Philister ausgegangen sind^[6], und die Kaftoriter. – (5Mo 2,23; Jer 47,4) 15 Und Kanaan zeugte Sidon, seinen Erstgeborenen, und Het (1Mo 23,3; 1Sam 26,6; Hes 27,8) 16 und den Jebusiter und den Amoriter und den Girgaschiter (1Mo 15,16) 17 und den Hewiter und den Arkiter und den Siniter (Jos 9,7) 18 und den Arwaditer und den Zemariter und den Hamatiter. Später haben sich die Sippen der Kanaaniter zerstreut. 20 Das sind die Söhne Hams nach ihren Sippen, nach ihren Sprachen, in ihren Ländern, in ihren Nationen. (1Mo 11,10; 1Chr 1,17) 21 Und dem Sem, dem Vater aller Söhne Ebers, dem älteren Bruder Jafets, auch ihm wurden ⟨Söhne⟩ geboren. (1Mo 5,32) 22 Die Söhne Sems: Elam und Assur und Arpachschad und Lud und Aram. (Jes 21,2) 23 Und die Söhne Arams: Uz und Hul und Geter und Masch. (Hi 1,1) 24 Und Arpachschad zeugte Schelach, und Schelach zeugte Eber. 25 Und dem Eber wurden zwei Söhne geboren: Der Name des einen war Peleg^[9], denn in seinen Tagen wurde das Land geteilt^[10]; und der Name seines Bruders war Joktan. (1Mo 10,5) 26 Und Joktan zeugte Almodad und Schelef und Hazarmawet und Jerach 27 und Hadoram und Usal und Dikla 28 und Obal und Abimaël und Saba (Hes 27,23) 29 und Ofir und Hawila und Jobab; diese alle waren Söhne Joktans. (1Kön 9,28) 30 Und ihre Wohnsitze sind von Mescha bis nach Sefar hin^[11], ⟨bis an⟩ das Gebirge des Ostens. – 31 Das sind die Söhne Sems nach ihren Sippen, nach ihren Sprachen, in ihren Ländern, nach ihren Nationen. 32 Das sind die Sippen der Söhne Noahs nach ihrer Generationenfolge^[12], in ihren Nationen; und von diesen aus haben sich nach der Flut die Nationen auf der Erde verzweigt. 1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. 6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. 7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. 8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, 12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. 13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, 14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim. 15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, 16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, 17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, 18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. 19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations. 21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. 22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. 23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. 24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. 25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother' name was Joktan. 26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, 28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, 29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. 30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. 32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
