(4Mo 24,5)3Es sehnt sich, ja, es schmachtet meine Seele nach den Vorhöfen des HERRN, mein Herz und mein Leib[1], sie jauchzen dem lebendigen Gott ⟨entgegen⟩. (Ps 42,3)4Auch der Vogel hat ein Haus gefunden und die Schwalbe ein Nest für sich, wo sie ihre Jungen hingelegt hat – deine Altäre[2], HERR der Heerscharen, mein König und mein Gott! (Ps 5,3; Joh 20,28)5Glücklich sind, die in deinem Haus wohnen. Stets werden sie dich loben. // (Ps 65,5; Ps 134,1)6Glücklich ist der Mensch, dessen Stärke in dir ist! Gebahnte Wege sind in seinem[3] Herzen[4]!7Sie gehen durch das Tränental[5] und machen es zu einem Quellort. Ja, mit Segnungen bedeckt es der Frühregen. (Jes 58,11; Hes 34,26)8Sie gehen von Kraft zu Kraft. Sie erscheinen[6] vor Gott in Zion. (5Mo 16,16; Jes 40,31; 2Kor 4,16)9HERR, Gott der Heerscharen, höre mein Gebet! Vernimm es, Gott Jakobs! // (Ps 17,1)10Blicke doch, Gott, auf unseren Schild[7]! Schaue an das Gesicht deines Gesalbten! (2Chr 6,42)11Denn ein Tag in deinen Vorhöfen ist besser als ⟨sonst⟩ tausend. Ich will lieber an der Schwelle stehen im Haus meines Gottes als wohnen in den Zelten des Unrechts.12Denn der HERR, Gott, ist Sonne und Schild. Gnade und Herrlichkeit wird der HERR geben, kein Gutes vorenthalten denen, die in Lauterkeit wandeln. (Ps 3,4; Ps 125,4; Jes 60,19; Joh 1,16; Röm 8,30; Offb 21,23)13HERR der Heerscharen! How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them .6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. Eternel, ╵Seigneur des armées célestes!3Je languis et je soupire, ╵Eternel, après tes parvis, mon être entier crie sa joie ╵vers le Dieu vivant.4Le moineau découvre un gîte, l’hirondelle trouve un nid ╵où déposer ses petits, près de tes autels, ╵Eternel, ╵Seigneur des armées célestes, mon Roi et mon Dieu!5Bienheureux ceux qui habitent ╵ta maison, car ils pourront te louer toujours. Pause6Bienheureux les hommes ╵dont tu es la force: dans leur cœur, ils trouvent ╵des chemins tracés.7Car lorsqu’ils traversent ╵la vallée des Larmes[3], ils en font une oasis[4], et la pluie d’automne ╵vient la recouvrir ╵de bénédictions[5].8D’étape en étape, ╵leur vigueur s’accroît et ils se présentent ╵à Dieu en Sion.9Eternel, ╵ô Dieu des armées célestes, ╵entends ma prière! Plutôt rester sur le seuil ╵de la maison de mon Dieu, que de demeurer ╵sous les tentes des méchants.12Car l’Eternel Dieu ╵est pour nous comme un soleil, ╵il est comme un bouclier. L’Eternel accorde ╵bienveillance et gloire, il ne refuse aucun bien à ceux qui cheminent ╵dans l’intégrité.13Eternel, ╵Seigneur des armées célestes, bienheureux est l’homme ╵qui met sa confiance en toi.
