1 Ein Maskil[1]. Von David. Als er in der Höhle war. Ein Gebet. (1Sam 22,1; 1Sam 24,4; Ps 57,1) 2 Mit meiner Stimme schreie ich um Hilfe zum HERRN, mit meiner Stimme flehe ich zum HERRN. (Ps 28,1) 3 Ich schütte mein Anliegen vor ihm aus, meine Not erzähle ich vor ihm. (Ps 62,9; Ps 102,1) 4 Als mein Geist in mir ermattete, da kanntest du meinen Pfad. Auf dem Weg, den ich wandle, haben sie mir heimlich eine Schlinge gelegt. (Ps 1,6; Ps 140,6; Ps 141,9; Ps 143,4; Jer 18,22) 5 Schau zur Rechten und sieh: Ich habe ja niemanden, der etwas von mir wissen will. Verloren gegangen ist mir jede Zuflucht, niemand fragt nach meiner Seele. (Ps 35,12; Joh 5,7) 6 Zu dir habe ich um Hilfe geschrien, HERR! Ich habe gesagt: Du bist meine Zuflucht, mein Teil im Land der Lebendigen. (Ps 27,13; Ps 46,2) 7 Horche auf mein Schreien, denn ich bin sehr schwach. Rette mich vor meinen Verfolgern, denn sie sind mir zu mächtig! (Ps 38,20; Ps 40,18; Ps 143,9) 8 Führe aus dem Gefängnis heraus meine Seele, damit ich deinen Namen preise[2]! Die Gerechten werden mich umringen, wenn du mir wohlgetan hast. (Ps 9,14; Ps 143,11)

1 A Maskil[1] of David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer. With my voice I cry out to the Lord; with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord. (Ps 3,4; Ps 30,8; Ps 57,1) 2 I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him. (Ps 102,1; Jes 26,16) 3 When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me. (Ps 77,3; Ps 140,5) 4 Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul. (Hi 11,20; Ps 16,8; Ps 31,11; Ps 69,20; Jer 25,35) 5 I cry to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” (Ps 14,6; Ps 16,5; Ps 27,13) 6 Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me! (Ps 17,1; Ps 18,17; Ps 79,8) 7 Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me. (Ps 13,6; Ps 143,11; Jes 42,7)
