Psalm 123

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Zu dir hebe ich meine Augen auf, der du im Himmel thronst. (Ps 2,4; Ps 121,1) 2 Siehe: Wie die Augen der Knechte auf die Hand ihres Herrn, wie die Augen der Magd auf die Hand ihrer Gebieterin, so sind unsere Augen ⟨gerichtet⟩ auf den HERRN, unseren Gott, bis er uns gnädig ist. (2Chr 20,12; Ps 25,15) 3 Sei uns gnädig, HERR, sei uns gnädig! Denn reichlich sind wir mit Verachtung gesättigt. (Ps 44,14) 4 Reichlich ist unsere Seele gesättigt mit dem Spott der Sorglosen, mit der Verachtung der Hochmütigen. (Hebr 11,36)

2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he has mercy upon us. 3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt. (Neh 4,4; Ps 4,1) 4 Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud. (Neh 2,19; Ps 119,51; Jes 32,9; Jes 32,11; Am 6,1)
