1 Ein Wallfahrtslied^[1]. Zum HERRN rief ich in meiner Not, und er erhörte mich. (Ps 50,15; Ps 121,1; Jon 2,3) 2 HERR, rette meine Seele vor der Lügenlippe, vor falscher Zunge. (Ps 52,6; Mi 6,12) 3 Was wird er dir geben? Was dir hinzufügen, du falsche Zunge? 4 Scharfe Pfeile eines Starken samt glühenden Ginsterkohlen^[2]. (Jer 9,7) 5 Weh mir, dass ich Gast war in Meschech, dass ich wohnte bei den Zelten Kedars! 6 Lange hat meine Seele bei denen gewohnt, die den Frieden hassen. 7 Ich will nur Frieden^[3]. Aber wenn ich rede, so sind sie für Krieg. (Röm 3,17)

1 A Song of Ascents. In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. (2Mo 34,24; 1Kön 12,27; Jes 30,29) 2 Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue? (1Sam 3,17) 4 A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree! (Ps 45,5; Ps 127,4; Ps 140,10; Spr 25,22; Jer 50,9)
