1 Preist den HERRN, denn er ist gut, denn seine Gnade ⟨währt⟩ ewig! (Ps 100,5) 2 So sollen sagen die Erlösten des HERRN, die er aus der Hand des Bedrängers^[1] erlöst hat. (Ps 106,10) 3 Die er gesammelt hat aus den Ländern, von Osten und von Westen, von Norden und von Süden^[2]. (Jes 43,5) 4 Sie irrten in der Wüste, auf ödem Weg, sie fanden keinen bewohnten Ort. (5Mo 32,10) 5 Hungrig waren sie und durstig, es verschmachtete in ihnen ihre Seele. (2Mo 16,3; 2Mo 17,3; 2Sam 17,29) 6 Da schrien sie zum HERRN in ihrer Not: Aus ihren Bedrängnissen rettete er sie. (Jes 32,18) 8 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade und für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern! 9 Denn er hat die durstende Seele gesättigt, die hungernde Seele mit Gutem erfüllt. (Ps 34,11; Ps 146,7; Lk 1,53) 10 Die Bewohner des Dunkels und der Finsternis ⟨lagen⟩ gefesselt in Elend und Eisen: (Hi 36,8; Lk 1,79) 11 denn sie waren widerspenstig gewesen gegen die Worte Gottes und hatten verachtet den Rat des Höchsten; (Ps 106,43; Jes 63,10) 12 und er hatte ihr Herz gebeugt durch Unheil. (Ps 106,44; Hos 5,15; Lk 8,24) 14 Er führte sie heraus aus Dunkel und Finsternis, er zerriss ihre Fesseln. 15 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade, für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern! 16 Denn er hat bronzene Türen zerbrochen, und eiserne Riegel hat er zerschlagen. (Jes 45,2) 17 Die Toren litten wegen ihres gottlosen Weges^[3] und wegen ihrer Sünden. (Ps 38,4) 18 Ihre Seele ekelte vor jeder Speise, sie rührten an die Pforten des Todes. (Hi 33,20) 19 Dann aber schrien sie zum HERRN um Hilfe in ihrer Not: Aus ihren Bedrängnissen rettete er sie. 21 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade, für seine Wunder an den Menschenkindern. 22 Sie sollen Dankopfer darbringen und mit Jubel seine Taten erzählen! (3Mo 7,12; Ps 9,15; Ps 27,6) 23 Die sich mit Schiffen aufs Meer hinausbegaben, auf großen Wassern Handel trieben, (Ps 104,26) 24 das sind die, die die Taten des HERRN sahen und seine Wunder in der Tiefe. (Ps 104,24) 25 Er redete und bestellte einen Sturmwind, und der trieb seine Wellen hoch. (Jon 1,4; Mt 8,24; Joh 6,18) 26 Sie stiegen zum Himmel empor, sie sanken hinab in die Fluten, es verzagte in der Not ihre Seele. 27 Sie taumelten und schwankten wie ein Betrunkener, es versagte all ihre Weisheit. 28 Dann aber schrien sie zum HERRN in ihrer Not: Und er führte sie heraus aus ihren Bedrängnissen. (Ps 26,12) 33 Er macht Ströme zur Wüste und Wasserquellen zu dürrem Land. (Jes 42,15) 34 Fruchtbares Land ⟨macht er⟩ zur Salzsteppe wegen der Bosheit seiner Bewohner. Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Ps 100,5; Ps 105,1) 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble^[1] (Ps 106,10; Jes 62,12; Jes 63,4) 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. 36 And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; (Ps 107,4; Ps 107,7) 37 they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. 38 By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish.
