1Vor dem Passahfest aber, als Jesus wusste, dass seine Stunde gekommen war, aus dieser Welt zu dem Vater hinzugehen – da er die Seinen, die in der Welt waren, geliebt hatte, liebte er sie bis ans Ende[1]. Das neue Gebot: Liebe
31Als er nun hinausgegangen war, spricht Jesus: Jetzt ist der Sohn des Menschen verherrlicht, und Gott ist verherrlicht in ihm. (Joh 12,23)32Wenn Gott verherrlicht ist in ihm, so wird auch Gott ihn verherrlichen in sich selbst, und er wird ihn sogleich verherrlichen. (Joh 17,4)33Kinder[7], noch eine kleine ⟨Weile⟩ bin ich bei euch; ihr werdet mich suchen, und wie ich den Juden sagte: Wohin ich gehe, könnt ihr nicht hinkommen, so sage ich jetzt auch euch. 1Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
