Psalm 36

Elberfelder Bibel

Psalm 36

English Standard Version

von Crossway
1 To the choirmaster. Of David, the servant of the Lord. Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart;[1] there is no fear of God before his eyes. (Ps 18,1; Röm 3,18)2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated. (5Mo 29,19; Ps 10,3; Ps 49,18)3 The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good. (Ps 12,2; Jer 4,22)4 He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. (Ps 10,7; Ps 97,10; Spr 4,16; Jes 65,2; Mi 2,1)5 Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. (Neh 9,6; Ps 71,19; Ps 92,5; Ps 104,14; Ps 145,9; Ps 145,15; Röm 11,33)7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. (Rut 2,12; Ps 31,19)8 They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. (Ps 16,11; Ps 23,5; Ps 27,4; Ps 46,4; Ps 65,4; Jes 25,6; Jer 31,12; Offb 22,1)9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. (Jer 2,13; Joh 1,9; Joh 4,10; Joh 4,14; Joh 5,26; Apg 26,18; 1Petr 2,9)10 Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart! (Ps 7,10; Ps 79,6; Jer 22,16; Gal 4,9)11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.12 There the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise. (Ps 1,5; Ps 94,4)

Psalm 36

New International Version

von Biblica
1 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:[1] There is no fear of God before their eyes.2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.3 The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good.4 Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.8 They feast in the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.10 Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.11 May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.12 See how the evildoers lie fallen – thrown down, not able to rise!

Psalm 36

New International Reader’s Version

von Biblica
1 I have a message from God in my heart. It is about the evil ways of anyone who sins. They don’t have any respect for God.2 They praise themselves so much that they can’t see their sin or hate it.3 Their mouths speak words that are evil and false. They do not act wisely or do what is good.4 Even as they lie in bed they make evil plans. They commit themselves to a sinful way of life. They never say no to what is wrong.5 LORD, your love is as high as the heavens. Your faithful love reaches up to the skies.6 Your holiness is as great as the height of the highest mountains. You are as honest as the oceans are deep. LORD, you keep people and animals safe.7 How priceless your faithful love is! People find safety in the shadow of your wings.8 They eat well because there is more than enough in your house. You let them drink from your river that flows with good things.9 You have the fountain of life. We are filled with light because you give us light.10 Keep on loving those who know you. Keep on doing right to those whose hearts are honest.11 Don’t let the feet of those who are proud step on me. Don’t let the hands of those who are evil drive me away.12 See how those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down and can’t get up.

Psalm 36

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
