1 Ein Psalm. Von David. Der HERR ist mein Hirte, mir wird nichts mangeln. (Ps 34,10; Joh 10,11) 2 Er lagert mich auf grünen Auen, er führt mich zu stillen Wassern. (Hes 34,14; Offb 7,17) 3 Er erquickt meine Seele. Er leitet mich in Pfaden der Gerechtigkeit um seines Namens willen. (Ps 31,4; Ps 106,8; Ps 109,21; Spr 4,11; Jer 31,25) 4 Auch wenn ich wandere im Tal des Todesschattens[1], fürchte ich kein Unheil, denn du bist bei mir; dein Stecken und dein Stab, sie trösten mich. (Jes 43,2) 5 Du bereitest vor mir einen Tisch angesichts meiner Feinde; du hast mein Haupt mit Öl gesalbt, mein Becher fließt über. (Ps 92,11) 6 Nur Güte und Gnade werden mir folgen alle Tage meines Lebens; und ich kehre zurück ins[2] Haus des HERRN für immer[3]. (Ps 27,4)

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Ps 34,9; Ps 78,52; Ps 80,1; Jes 40,11; Jer 31,10; Hes 34,11; Hes 34,23; Mt 6,33; Joh 10,11; Hebr 13,20; 1Petr 2,25; 1Petr 5,4) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[1] (Hes 34,14; Joh 10,9) 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[2] for his name’s sake. (Ps 5,8; Ps 19,7; Ps 25,11; Ps 31,3; Ps 79,9; Ps 109,21; Ps 139,10; Ps 139,24; Ps 143,10; Spr 4,11; Spr 8,20; Jes 40,11; Jes 49,10; Hes 20,9; Hes 20,14) 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[3] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[1] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

1 The LORD is my shepherd. He gives me everything I need. 2 He lets me lie down in fields of green grass. He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths for the honour of his name. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. You are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff comfort me. 5 You prepare a feast for me right in front of my enemies. You pour oil on my head. My cup runs over. 6 I am sure that your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. And I will live in the house of the LORD for ever.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name' sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
