Psalm 121

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Ich hebe meine Augen auf zu den Bergen. Woher wird meine Hilfe kommen? (Ps 123,1) 

2 Meine Hilfe ⟨kommt⟩ vom HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat. (1Mo 1,1; Ps 115,15) 

3 Er wird nicht zulassen, dass dein Fuß wankt. Dein Hüter schlummert nicht. (1Sam 2,9; Ps 55,23; Spr 3,26) 

4 Siehe, nicht schlummert und nicht schläft der Hüter Israels. 

5 Der HERR ist dein Hüter, der HERR ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand. 

6 Am Tag wird die Sonne dich nicht stechen, der Mond nicht bei Nacht. (Jes 49,10) 

7 Der HERR wird dich behüten vor allem Unheil, er wird dein Leben behüten. (1Mo 28,15; Ps 97,10; Spr 12,21; 2Tim 4,18) 

8 Der HERR wird deinen Ausgang und deinen Eingang behüten von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. (5Mo 28,6; Ps 125,2; Ps 131,3)

My Help Comes from the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? (Ps 48,1; Ps 87,1; Ps 120,1; Ps 123,1; Ps 133,3; Jer 3,23) 

2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Ps 20,2; Ps 115,15; Ps 124,8) 

3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. (1Sam 2,9; Ps 41,2; Ps 66,9; Ps 97,10; Ps 127,1; Spr 3,23; Spr 3,26; Jes 27,3) 

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 

5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. (Ps 16,8; Ps 91,1) 

6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. (2Kön 4,19; Jes 49,10; Jon 4,8; Offb 7,16) 

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. (Ps 121,3) 

8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. (4Mo 27,17; 5Mo 28,6; 5Mo 31,2; 1Sam 29,6; 1Kön 3,7; Apg 1,21)

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? 

2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 

3 He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber; 

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 

5 The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 

6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; 

8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore.

1 I look up to the mountains. Where does my help come from? 

2 My help comes from the LORD. He is the Maker of heaven and earth. 

3 He won’t let your foot slip. He who watches over you won’t get tired. 

4 In fact, he who watches over Israel won’t get tired or go to sleep. 

5 The LORD watches over you. The LORD is like a shady tree at your right hand. 

6 The sun won’t harm you during the day. The moon won’t harm you during the night. 

7 The LORD will keep you from every kind of harm. He will watch over your life. 

8 The LORD will watch over your life no matter where you go, both now and for ever.

1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 

2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. 

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 

5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. 

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 

7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 

8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
