Erscheinung des Auferstandenen vor den Jüngern am See Tiberias
1Nach diesem offenbarte Jesus sich wieder den Jüngern am See von Tiberias. Er offenbarte sich aber so:2Simon Petrus und Thomas, genannt Zwilling[1], und Nathanael, der von Kana in Galiläa war, und die ⟨Söhne⟩ des Zebedäus und zwei andere von seinen Jüngern waren zusammen. Simon Petrus spricht zu ihnen: (Joh 1,45; Joh 11,16)3Ich gehe hin fischen. Sie sprechen zu ihm: Auch wir gehen mit dir. Sie gingen hinaus und stiegen in das Boot; und in jener Nacht fingen sie nichts. (Ps 127,2; Lk 5,5)4Als aber schon der frühe Morgen anbrach, stand Jesus am Ufer; doch wussten die Jünger nicht, dass es Jesus war. (Joh 20,14)5Jesus spricht nun zu ihnen: Kinder, habt ihr wohl etwas zu essen[2]? Sie antworteten ihm: Nein. (Lk 24,41)6Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Werft das Netz auf der rechten Seite des Bootes aus! Und ihr werdet finden. Da warfen sie es aus und konnten es vor der Menge der Fische nicht mehr ziehen. (Lk 5,4; Lk 5,6)7Da sagt jener Jünger, den Jesus liebte, zu Petrus: Es ist der Herr! Simon Petrus nun, als er hörte, dass es der Herr sei, gürtete das Oberkleid um – denn er war nackt – und warf sich in den See. (Joh 13,23; Joh 21,20)8Die anderen Jünger aber kamen in dem Boot – denn sie waren nicht weit vom Land, sondern etwa zweihundert Ellen – und zogen das Netz mit den Fischen nach.9Als sie nun ans Land ausstiegen, sehen sie ein Kohlenfeuer liegen und Fisch daraufliegen und Brot.10Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Bringt her von den Fischen, die ihr jetzt gefangen habt!11Da ging Simon Petrus hinauf und zog das Netz voll großer Fische, hundertdreiundfünfzig, auf das Land; und obwohl es so viele waren, zerriss das Netz nicht.12Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Kommt her, frühstückt! Keiner aber von den Jüngern wagte ihn zu fragen: Wer bist du? Denn sie wussten, dass es der Herr war.13Jesus kommt und nimmt das Brot und gibt es ihnen und ebenso den Fisch. (Joh 6,11; Apg 10,41)14Dies ist schon das dritte Mal, dass Jesus sich den Jüngern offenbarte, nachdem er aus den Toten auferweckt war. (Joh 20,19)
Gespräch mit Petrus
15Als sie nun gefrühstückt hatten, spricht Jesus zu Simon Petrus: Simon⟨, Sohn⟩ des Johannes, liebst du mich mehr als diese? Er spricht zu ihm: Ja, Herr, du weißt, dass ich dich lieb habe. Spricht er zu ihm: Weide meine Lämmer! (Joh 1,42)16Wieder spricht er zum zweiten Mal zu ihm: Simon⟨, Sohn⟩ des Johannes, liebst du mich? Er spricht zu ihm: Ja, Herr, du weißt, dass ich dich lieb habe. Spricht er zu ihm: Hüte meine Schafe! (Joh 1,42; Apg 20,28; 1Petr 5,2)17Er spricht zum dritten Mal zu ihm: Simon⟨, Sohn⟩ des Johannes, hast du mich lieb? Petrus wurde traurig, dass er zum dritten Mal zu ihm sagte: Hast du mich lieb?, und sprach zu ihm: Herr, du weißt alles; du erkennst, dass ich dich lieb habe. Jesus spricht zu ihm: Weide meine Schafe! (Joh 1,42; Joh 2,25)18Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Als du jünger warst, gürtetest du dich selbst und gingst, wohin du wolltest; wenn du aber alt geworden bist, wirst du deine Hände ausstrecken, und ein anderer wird dich gürten und hinbringen, wohin du nicht willst. (Joh 13,36; 2Petr 1,14)19Dies aber sagte er, um anzudeuten, mit welchem Tod er Gott verherrlichen sollte. Und als er dies gesagt hatte, spricht er zu ihm: Folge mir nach! (Joh 1,43)20Petrus wandte sich um und sieht den Jünger nachfolgen, den Jesus liebte, der sich auch bei dem Abendessen an seine Brust gelehnt und gesagt hatte: Herr, wer ist es, der dich überliefert? (Joh 13,25; Joh 21,7)21Als nun Petrus diesen sah, spricht er zu Jesus: Herr, was ⟨soll⟩ aber dieser?22Jesus spricht zu ihm: Wenn ich will, dass er bleibt, bis ich komme, was geht es dich an? Folge du mir nach! (Joh 1,43)23Es ging nun dieses Wort hinaus unter die Brüder: Jener Jünger stirbt nicht. Aber Jesus sprach nicht zu ihm, dass er nicht sterbe, sondern: Wenn ich will, dass er bleibt, bis ich komme, was geht es dich an?
Schlusswort
24Das ist der Jünger, der von diesen Dingen zeugt und der dies geschrieben hat; und wir wissen, dass sein Zeugnis wahr ist. (Joh 15,27; 3Joh 1,12; Offb 1,2)25Es gibt aber auch viele andere Dinge, die Jesus getan hat; wenn diese alle einzeln niedergeschrieben würden, so würde, scheint mir, selbst die Welt die geschriebenen Bücher nicht fassen. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?24This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.25And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Gesù appare in riva al mare di Galilea

Gesù e Pietro
15Quando ebbero fatto colazione, Gesù disse a Simon Pietro: «Simone di Giovanni, mi ami più di questi?» Egli rispose: «Sì, Signore, tu sai che ti voglio bene». Gesù gli disse: «Pasci i miei agnelli».16Gli disse di nuovo, una seconda volta: «Simone di Giovanni, mi ami?» Egli rispose: «Sì, Signore; tu sai che ti voglio bene». Gesù gli disse: «Pastura le mie pecore».17Gli disse la terza volta: «Simone di Giovanni, mi vuoi bene?» Pietro fu rattristato che egli avesse detto la terza volta: «Mi vuoi bene?» E gli rispose: «Signore, tu sai ogni cosa; tu conosci che ti voglio bene». Gesù gli disse: «Pasci le mie pecore.18In verità, in verità ti dico che quando eri più giovane ti cingevi da solo e andavi dove volevi; ma quando sarai vecchio, stenderai le tue mani e un altro ti cingerà e ti condurrà dove non vorresti».19Disse questo per indicare con quale morte avrebbe glorificato Dio. Detto questo, gli disse: «Seguimi».
Il discepolo che Gesù amava
20Pietro, voltatosi, vide venirgli dietro il discepolo che Gesù amava; quello stesso che durante la cena stava inclinato sul petto di Gesù e aveva detto: «Signore, chi è che ti tradisce?»21Pietro dunque, vedutolo, disse a Gesù: «Signore, e lui?»22Gesù gli rispose: «Se voglio che rimanga finché io venga, che t’importa? Tu, seguimi».23Per questo motivo si sparse tra i fratelli[1] la voce che quel discepolo non sarebbe morto; Gesù però non gli aveva detto che non sarebbe morto, ma: «Se voglio che rimanga finché io venga, che t’importa?»24Questo è il discepolo che rende testimonianza di queste cose e che ha scritto queste cose; e noi sappiamo che la sua testimonianza è vera.25Ora vi sono ancora molte altre cose che Gesù ha fatte; se si scrivessero a una a una, penso che il mondo stesso non potrebbe contenere i libri che se ne scriverebbero.
