Ich will dir musizieren vor den Nationen.5Denn groß ist deine Güte, bis über die Himmel reicht sie, ja, bis zu den Wolken deine Treue.6Erhebe dich über die Himmel, Gott, über die ganze Erde erstrahle deine Herrlichkeit!7So sollen die gerettet werden, die du lieb hast! Schaffe Hilfe mit deiner rechten Hand und antworte uns!8Gott hat in seinem Heiligtum gesprochen: »Ich werde über meinen Sieg jubeln, Sichem werde ich meinem Volk zuteilen und das Tal Sukkot werde ich ausmessen.9Mir gehört das Gebiet von Gilead und mein ist auch Manasse, ja, Ephraim ist der Helm auf meinem Haupt und Juda ist mein Zepter.10Doch Moab ist mein Waschbecken, auf Edom schmeiße ich meine Sandalen und über Philisterland will ich jubeln.«11Wer wird mich geleiten zur befestigten Stadt? Ja, wer führt mich nach Edom?12Wer, wenn nicht du, Gott, der du uns verworfen hast, ja, du, Gott, der nicht mehr mit unseren Heeren auszieht?13Schenk uns doch Hilfe gegen unsere Unterdrücker! Denn wertlos ist die Hilfe, die von Menschen kommt.14Mit Gott werden wir Heldentaten tun, ja, er selbst wird unsere Unterdrücker niedertreten.

Who will lead me to Edom?11Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.12Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!13With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.
