1To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[1] proclaims his handiwork. (诗50:6; 羅1:19)2Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.3There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.4Their voice[2] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, (传1:5; 赛28:10; 羅10:18)5which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. (士5:31; 珥2:16)6Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.7The law of the Lord is perfect,[3] reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; (出25:16; 诗23:3; 诗78:5; 诗111:7; 诗119:130; 箴1:4; 太11:25; 羅7:12; 林前1:27; 提后3:15; 提后3:16)8the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; (诗12:6; 诗13:3; 诗103:18; 诗111:7; 诗119:4; 诗119:27)9the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules[4] of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. (诗119:142; 诗119:151; 诗119:160)10More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. (伯28:17; 诗119:72; 诗119:103; 诗119:127; 箴8:10; 箴8:19; 箴16:24)11Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. (箴29:18)12Who can discern his errors? Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
