1 Když sestoupil z hory, šly za ním velké zástupy. 2 Tu k němu přistoupil malomocný, padl před ním na zem a řekl: „Pane, chceš-li, můžeš mě očistit.“ 3 On vztáhl ruku, dotkl se ho a řekl: „Chci, buď čist.“ A hned byl očištěn od svého malomocenství. 4 Tu mu Ježíš pravil: „Ne abys někomu o tom říkal! Ale jdi, ukaž se knězi a obětuj dar, který Mojžíš přikázal – jim na svědectví.“

— Uzdravení setníkova sluhy

5 Když přišel do Kafarnaum, přistoupil k němu jeden setník a prosil ho: 6 „Pane, můj sluha leží doma ochrnutý a hrozně trpí.“ 7 Řekl mu: „Já přijdu a uzdravím ho.“ 8 Setník však odpověděl: „Pane, nejsem hoden, abys vstoupil pod mou střechu; ale řekni jen slovo, a můj sluha bude uzdraven. 9 Vždyť i já podléhám rozkazům a vojákům rozkazuji; řeknu-li některému ‚jdi‘, tak jde; jinému ‚pojď sem‘, tak přijde; a svému otroku ‚udělej to‘, tak to udělá.“ 10 Když to Ježíš uslyšel, podivil se a řekl těm, kdo ho následovali: „Amen, pravím vám, tak velikou víru jsem v Izraeli nenalezl u nikoho. 11 Pravím vám, že mnozí od východu i západu přijdou a budou stolovat s Abrahamem, Izákem a Jákobem v království nebeském; 12 ale synové království budou vyvrženi ven do tmy; tam bude pláč a skřípění zubů.“ 13 Potom řekl Ježíš setníkovi: „Jdi, a jak jsi uvěřil, tak se ti staň.“ A v tu hodinu se sluha uzdravil.

— Činnost v Kafarnaum

14 Když Ježíš vstoupil do domu Petrova, spatřil, že jeho tchyně leží v horečce. 15 Dotkl se její ruky a horečka ji opustila; i vstala a obsluhovala ho. 16 Když nastal večer, přinesli k němu mnoho posedlých; i vyhnal duchy svým slovem a všechny nemocné uzdravil, 17 aby se naplnilo, co je řečeno ústy proroka Izaiáše: ‚On slabosti naše na sebe vzal a nemoci nesl.‘

— O bezvýhradném následování Ježíše

18 Když Ježíš viděl kolem sebe zástup, rozkázal odjet na druhý břeh. 19 Jeden zákoník přišel a řekl mu: „Mistře, budu tě následovat, kamkoli půjdeš.“ 20 Ale Ježíš mu odpověděl: „Lišky mají doupata a ptáci hnízda, ale Syn člověka nemá, kde by hlavu složil.“ 21 Jiný z učedníků mu řekl: „Pane, dovol mi napřed odejít a pochovat svého otce.“ 22 Ale Ježíš mu odpověděl: „Následuj mě a nech mrtvé, ať pochovávají své mrtvé.“

— Utišení bouře

23 Vstoupil na loď a učedníci ho následovali. 24 Vtom se strhla na moři veliká bouře, takže loď už mizela ve vlnách; ale on spal. 25 I přistoupili a probudili ho se slovy: „Pane, zachraň nás, nebo zahyneme!“ 26 Řekl jim: „Proč jste tak ustrašeni, vy malověrní?“ Vstal, pohrozil větrům i moři; a nastalo veliké ticho. 27 Lidé užasli a říkali: „Kdo to jen je, že ho poslouchají větry i moře?“

— Uzdravení posedlých v Gadaře

28 Když přijel na protější břeh moře do gadarenské krajiny, vyšli proti němu dva posedlí, kteří vystoupili z hrobů; byli velmi nebezpeční, takže se nikdo neodvážil tudy chodit. 29 A dali se do křiku: „Co je ti po nás, Synu Boží? Přišel jsi nás trápit, dříve než nastal čas?“ 30 Opodál se páslo veliké stádo vepřů. 31 A zlí duchové ho prosili: „Když už nás vyháníš, pošli nás do toho stáda vepřů!“ 32 On jim řekl: „Jděte!“ Tu vyšli a vešli do vepřů; a hle, celé stádo se hnalo střemhlav po srázu do moře a zahynulo ve vodách. 33 Pasáci utekli, přišli do města a vyprávěli všechno, i o těch posedlých. 34 A celé město vyšlo naproti Ježíšovi, a když ho spatřili, prosili ho, aby se vzdálil z jejich končin.

Die Heilung eines Aussätzigen

1 Als Jesus von dem Berg herabstieg, folgten ihm viele Menschen nach. (Mk 1,40; L 5,12) 2 Und siehe, da kam ein Aussätziger, fiel vor ihm nieder und sagte: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich rein machen. 3 Jesus streckte die Hand aus, berührte ihn und sagte: Ich will - werde rein! Im gleichen Augenblick wurde der Aussätzige rein. 4 Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: Nimm dich in Acht! Erzähl niemandem davon, sondern geh, zeig dich dem Priester und bring das Opfer dar, das Mose angeordnet hat - ihnen zum Zeugnis! (Lv 13,49; Lv 14,2)

Der Hauptmann von Kafarnaum

5 Als er nach Kafarnaum kam, trat ein Hauptmann an ihn heran und bat ihn: (Mt 5,1; J 4,46) 6 Herr, mein Diener liegt gelähmt zu Hause und hat große Schmerzen. 7 Jesus sagte zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.^[1] 8 Und der Hauptmann antwortete: Herr, ich bin es nicht wert, dass du unter mein Dach einkehrst; aber sprich nur ein Wort, dann wird mein Diener gesund! 9 Denn auch ich muss Befehlen gehorchen und ich habe selbst Soldaten unter mir; sage ich nun zu einem: Geh!, so geht er, und zu einem andern: Komm!, so kommt er, und zu meinem Diener: Tu das!, so tut er es. 10 Jesus war erstaunt, als er das hörte, und sagte zu denen, die ihm nachfolgten: Amen, ich sage euch: Einen solchen Glauben habe ich in Israel noch bei niemandem gefunden. 11 Ich sage euch: Viele werden von Osten und Westen kommen und mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob im Himmelreich zu Tisch sitzen; (L 13,28) 12 aber die Söhne des Reiches werden hinausgeworfen in die äußerste Finsternis; dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein. 14 Jesus ging in das Haus des Petrus und sah dessen Schwiegermutter mit Fieber daniederliegen. (Mk 1,29; L 4,38) 15 Da berührte er ihre Hand und das Fieber wich von ihr, sie stand auf und diente ihm.

Die Erfüllung der Schrift im Vollmachtshandeln Jesu

16 Am Abend brachte man viele Besessene zu ihm. Er trieb mit seinem Wort die Geister aus und heilte alle Kranken, (Mk 1,32; L 4,40) 17 damit sich erfüllen sollte, was durch den Propheten Jesaja gesagt worden ist: Er hat unsere Leiden auf sich genommen und unsere Krankheiten getragen. (Iz 53,4)

Konsequenz der Nachfolge

18 Als Jesus die Menge sah, die um ihn war, befahl er, ans andere Ufer zu fahren. 19 Da kam ein Schriftgelehrter zu ihm und sagte: Meister, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin du auch gehst. Der Sturm auf dem See

23 Er stieg in das Boot und seine Jünger folgten ihm nach. (Mk 4,35; L 8,22) 24 Und siehe, es erhob sich auf dem See ein gewaltiger Sturm, sodass das Boot von den Wellen überflutet wurde. Jesus aber schlief. 25 Da traten die Jünger zu ihm und weckten ihn; sie riefen: Herr, rette uns, wir gehen zugrunde! (Mt 14,30) 26 Er sagte zu ihnen: Warum habt ihr solche Angst, ihr Kleingläubigen? Die Heilung zweier Besessener von Gadara

28 Als Jesus an das andere Ufer kam, in das Gebiet der Gadarener, liefen ihm aus den Grabhöhlen zwei Besessene entgegen. Sie waren so gefährlich, dass niemand auf jenem Weg entlanggehen konnte. Jesus Cleanses a Leper

The Faith of a Centurion

5 When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, (L 7,1) 6 “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.” 7 And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8 But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.
