— Pokušení na poušti

1  Tehdy byl Ježíš Duchem vyveden na poušť, aby byl pokoušen od ďábla. 

2  Postil se čtyřicet dní a čtyřicet nocí, až nakonec vyhladověl. 

3  Tu přistoupil pokušitel a řekl mu: „Jsi-li Syn Boží, řekni, ať z těchto kamenů jsou chleby.“ 

4  On však odpověděl: „Je psáno: ‚Ne jenom chlebem bude člověk živ, ale každým slovem, které vychází z Božích úst.‘“ 

5  Tu ho vezme ďábel do svatého města, postaví ho na vrcholek chrámu 

6  a řekne mu: „Jsi-li Syn Boží, vrhni se dolů; vždyť je psáno: ‚Svým andělům dá příkaz a na ruce tě vezmou, abys nenarazil nohou na kámen!‘“  

7  Ježíš mu pravil: „Je také psáno: ‚Nebudeš pokoušet Hospodina, Boha svého.‘“ 

8  Pak ho ďábel vezme na velmi vysokou horu, ukáže mu všechna království světa i jejich slávu 

9  a řekne mu: „Toto všechno ti dám, padneš-li přede mnou a budeš se mi klanět.“ 

10  Tu mu Ježíš odpoví: „Jdi z cesty, satane; neboť je psáno: ‚Hospodinu, Bohu svému, se budeš klanět a jeho jediného uctívat.‘“ 

11  V té chvíli ho ďábel opustil, a hle, andělé přistoupili a obsluhovali ho.

12  Když Ježíš uslyšel, že Jan je uvězněn, odebral se do Galileje. 

13  Opustil Nazaret a usadil se v Kafarnaum při moři, v území Zabulón a Neftalím, 

14  aby se splnilo, co je řečeno ústy proroka Izaiáše:  

15  ‚Země Zabulón a Neftalím, směrem k moři, za Jordánem, Galilea pohanů –  

16  lid bydlící v temnotách uvidí veliké světlo; světlo vzejde těm, kdo seděli v krajině stínu smrti.‘  

17  Od té chvíle začal Ježíš kázat: „Čiňte pokání, neboť se přiblížilo království nebeské.“  

— Povolání učedníků

18  Když procházel podél Galilejského moře, uviděl dva bratry, Šimona, zvaného Petr, a jeho bratra Ondřeje, jak vrhají síť do moře; byli totiž rybáři. 

19  Řekl jim: „Pojďte za mnou a učiním z vás rybáře lidí.“ 

20  Oni hned zanechali sítě a šli za ním. 

21  O něco dále uviděl jiné dva bratry, Jakuba Zebedeova a jeho bratra Jana, jak na lodi se svým otcem Zebedeem spravují sítě; a povolal je. 

22  Ihned opustili loď i svého otce a šli za ním.

23  Ježíš chodil po celé Galileji, učil v jejich synagógách, kázal evangelium království Božího a uzdravoval každou nemoc a každou chorobu v lidu. 

24  Pověst o něm se roznesla po celé Sýrii; přinášeli k němu všechny nemocné, postižené rozličnými neduhy a trápením, posedlé, náměsíčné, ochrnuté, a uzdravoval je. 

25  A velké zástupy z Galileje, Desítiměstí, z Jeruzaléma, Judska i ze Zajordání ho následovaly.

Die Versuchung Jesu

1 Dann wurde Jesus vom Geist in die Wüste geführt; dort sollte er vom Teufel versucht werden. (Mk 1,12; L 4,1) 

2 Als er vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte gefastet hatte, hungerte ihn. 

3 Da trat der Versucher an ihn heran und sagte: Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so befiehl, dass aus diesen Steinen Brot wird. 

4 Er aber antwortete: In der Schrift heißt es: Der Mensch lebt nicht vom Brot allein, sondern von jedem Wort, das aus Gottes Mund kommt. (Dt 8,3) 

5 Darauf nahm ihn der Teufel mit sich in die Heilige Stadt, stellte ihn oben auf den Tempel 

6 und sagte zu ihm: Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so stürz dich hinab; denn es heißt in der Schrift: Seinen Engeln befiehlt er um deinetwillen, / und: Sie werden dich auf ihren Händen tragen, / damit dein Fuß nicht an einen Stein stößt. (Ž 91,11) 

7 Jesus antwortete ihm: In der Schrift heißt es auch: Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, nicht auf die Probe stellen. (Dt 6,16) 

8 Wieder nahm ihn der Teufel mit sich und führte ihn auf einen sehr hohen Berg; er zeigte ihm alle Reiche der Welt mit ihrer Pracht 

9 und sagte zu ihm: Das alles will ich dir geben, wenn du dich vor mir niederwirfst und mich anbetest. 

10 Da sagte Jesus zu ihm: Weg mit dir, Satan! Denn in der Schrift steht: Den Herrn, deinen Gott, sollst du anbeten und ihm allein dienen. (Dt 5,9; Dt 6,13) 

11 Darauf ließ der Teufel von ihm ab und siehe, es kamen Engel und dienten ihm. 

DAS WIRKEN JESU IN GALILÄA

Jesus – Licht für die Menschen

12 Als Jesus hörte, dass Johannes ausgeliefert worden war, kehrte er nach Galiläa zurück. (Mk 1,14; L 4,14) 

13 Er verließ Nazaret, um in Kafarnaum zu wohnen, das am See liegt, im Gebiet von Sebulon und Naftali. 

14 Denn es sollte sich erfüllen, was durch den Propheten Jesaja gesagt worden ist: 

15 Das Land Sebulon und das Land Naftali, / die Straße am Meer, das Gebiet jenseits des Jordan, / das heidnische Galiläa: (Iz 8,23) 

16 Das Volk, das im Dunkel saß, / hat ein helles Licht gesehen; / denen, die im Schattenreich des Todes wohnten, / ist ein Licht erschienen. (L 1,79) 

Die Verkündigung vom Himmelreich und die ersten Jünger

17 Von da an begann Jesus zu verkünden: Kehrt um! Denn das Himmelreich ist nahe. (Mk 1,15; L 5,1; J 1,35) 

18 Als Jesus am See von Galiläa entlangging, sah er zwei Brüder, Simon, genannt Petrus, und seinen Bruder Andreas; sie warfen gerade ihr Netz in den See, denn sie waren Fischer. (Mt 9,9) 

19 Da sagte er zu ihnen: Kommt her, mir nach! Ich werde euch zu Menschenfischern machen. 

20 Sofort ließen sie ihre Netze liegen und folgten ihm nach. 

21 Als er weiterging, sah er zwei andere Brüder, Jakobus, den Sohn des Zebedäus, und seinen Bruder Johannes; sie waren mit ihrem Vater Zebedäus im Boot und richteten ihre Netze her. Er rief sie 

22 und sogleich verließen sie das Boot und ihren Vater und folgten Jesus nach. 

Der Andrang der Menschen

23 Er zog in ganz Galiläa umher, lehrte in den Synagogen, verkündete das Evangelium vom Reich und heilte im Volk alle Krankheiten und Leiden. (Mt 9,35; Mk 3,7; L 6,17) 

24 Und sein Ruf verbreitete sich in ganz Syrien. Man brachte alle Kranken mit den verschiedensten Gebrechen und Leiden zu ihm, Besessene, Mondsüchtige und Gelähmte, und er heilte sie. 

25 Scharen von Menschen aus Galiläa, der Dekapolis, aus Jerusalem und Judäa und aus dem Gebiet jenseits des Jordan folgten ihm nach.

The Temptation of Jesus

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (Mk 1,12; L 4,1; Žd 2,18; Žd 4,15) 

2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. (Dt 9,9; Dt 9,18; 1Kr 19,8; J 4,6) 

3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” (Mt 3,9; Mt 14,33; 1Te 3,5) 

4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Dt 8,3; Mt 4,7; Mt 4,10; J 4,34; Ef 6,17) 

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple (Neh 11,18; Ž 46,4; Ž 48,1; Iz 48,2; Iz 52,1; Mt 27,53; L 4,9; Zj 11,2; Zj 21,2; Zj 22,19)

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. (L 4,5) 

9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

Jesus Begins His Ministry

12 Now when he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee. (Mt 14,3; Mk 1,14; L 3,19; L 4,14; J 3,24) 

13 And leaving Nazareth he went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, (Jz 19,32; Mt 2,23; Mt 9,1; J 6,1) 

14 so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: (Mt 1,22) 

15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles— (Iz 9,1) 

16 the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.” (Jb 3,5; Ž 23,4; Iz 42,7; Am 5,8; L 1,79) 

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Mt 3,2; Mk 1,14) 

Jesus Calls the First Disciples

18 While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. (Mt 4,13; Mk 1,16; L 5,2; J 1,40) 

19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Mt 13,47) 

20 Immediately they left their nets and followed him. 

21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. 

22 Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. 

Jesus Ministers to Great Crowds

23 And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. (Mt 8,16; Mt 9,35; Mt 13,19; Mt 13,54; Mt 14,35; Mt 24,14; Mk 1,21; Mk 1,34; Mk 1,39; Mk 6,55; L 4,15; L 4,43; J 18,20) 

24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. (Mt 4,23; Mt 8,6; Mt 9,2; Mt 9,6; Mt 17,15; L 2,2; J 10,21) 

25 And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan. (Mk 3,7; Mk 5,20; L 6,17)
