Hospodinův pomazaný - RADOSTNÁ ZVĚST - — Potěšení lidu - Zajatému lidu je ohlášen konec zajetí a je ujištěn stálostí Božího slova.
1 „Potěšte, potěšte můj lid,“ praví váš Bůh. 2 Mluvte k srdci Jeruzaléma, provolejte k němu: Čas jeho služby se naplnil, odpykal si své provinění. Vždyť z Hospodinovy ruky přijal dvojnásobně za všechny své hříchy. 3 Hlas volajícího: „Připravte na poušti cestu Hospodinu! Vyrovnejte na pustině silnici pro našeho Boha! 4 Každé údolí ať je vyvýšeno, každá hora a pahorek sníženy. Pahorkatina ať v rovinu se změní a horské hřbety v pláně. 5 I zjeví se Hospodinova sláva a všechno tvorstvo společně spatří, že promluvila Hospodinova ústa.“ 6 Hlas toho, jenž praví: „Volej!“ I otázal se: „Co mám volat?“ „Všechno tvorstvo je tráva a všechna jeho spolehlivost jak polní kvítí. 7 Tráva usychá, květ vadne, zavane-li na něj vítr Hospodinův. Věru, lid je pouhá tráva. 8 Tráva usychá, květ vadne, ale slovo Boha našeho je stálé navěky.“ 9 Vystup si na horu vysokou, Sijóne, který neseš radostnou zvěst, co nejvíc zesil svůj hlas, Jeruzaléme, který neseš radostnou zvěst, zesil jej, neboj se! Řekni judským městům: „Hle, váš Bůh! 10 Panovník Hospodin přichází s mocí, jeho paže se ujme vlády. Hle, svoji mzdu má s sebou, u sebe svůj výdělek. 11 Jak pastýř pase své stádo, beránky svou paží shromažďuje, v náručí je nosí, březí ovečky šetrně vede.“
— Stvořitelem všeho je Hospodin - Moc a moudrost Stvořitele člověk nevystihne, proto jej nelze ani zobrazit.
12 Kdopak svou hrstí odměřil vodstvo a pídí nebesa změřil? Kdo shrnul v odměrku všechen prach země a hory odvážil na vahadlech, pahorky na vážkách? 13 Kdo změřil Hospodinova ducha a byl mu rádcem a vedl ho k poznání? 14 Kohopak o radu žádal, aby rozumnosti nabyl, aby ho poučil o stezce práva, naučil poznání a seznámil ho s cestami rozumnosti? 15 Hle, pronárody jsou jako kapka ve vědru, jak prášek na vahách. Ale on pozvedá ostrovy jak smítko. 16 Dříví Libanónu by na oheň nestačilo, jeho zvěř by nestačila pro zápalnou oběť. 17 Všechny pronárody nejsou před ním ničím, jsou mu méně nežli nic, než nicota. 18 Ke komu připodobníte Boha? Jakou podobu mu přisoudíte? 19 Řemeslník odleje modlu a zlatotepec ji potáhne zlatem, stříbrné řetízky přidělá zlatník. 20 Chudák, který na takovou oběť nemá, vybere dřevo, které netrouchniví, a vyhledá zručného řemeslníka, aby mu zhotovil modlu, jež by se neviklala. 21 Což o tom nevíte? Což jste neslyšeli? Neoznámili vám to už na počátku? Což nechápete, kdo položil základy zemi? 22 Ten, který sídlí nad obzorem země, jejíž obyvatelé jsou jako kobylky, ten, který nebesa jak závoj roztahuje a napíná je jako stan k obývání. 23 Ten hodnostáře za nic nemá a jako s nicotou nakládá se soudci země. 24 Sotva byli zasazeni, sotva byli zaseti, sotva jejich odnož kořeny do země zapustila, zaduje na ně a oni schnou a vichr je odnáší jako slámu.
— On dává zemdlenému sílu - Stvořitelova síla stačí sílit všechny, kteří jsou zemdlení a unavení ve své beznaději.
25 „Ke komu mě chcete připodobnit, aby mi byl roven?“ praví Svatý. 26 „K výšině zvedněte zraky a hleďte: Kdo stvořil toto všechno?“ Ten, který v plném počtu vyvádí zástupy hvězd a všechny volá jménem; má obrovskou sílu a úžasnou moc, nechybí mu ani jedna. 27 Proč říkáš, Jákobe, proč, Izraeli, mluvíš takto: „Má cesta je Hospodinu skryta, můj Bůh přehlíží mé právo?“ 28 Cožpak nevíš? Cožpak jsi neslyšel? Hospodin, Bůh věčný, stvořitel končin země, není zemdlený, není znavený, jeho rozumnost vystihnout nelze. 29 On dává zemdlenému sílu a dostatek odvahy bezmocnému. 30 Mladíci jsou zemdlení a unavení, jinoši se potácejí, klopýtají. 31 Ale ti, kdo skládají naději v Hospodina, nabývají nové síly; vznášejí se jak orlové, běží bez únavy, jdou bez umdlení.
1Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. (Iz 51,12; L 2,25)2Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare[1] is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. (2Pa 36,22; Jr 25,12; Oz 2,14)3A voice cries:[2] “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. (Ž 68,4; Iz 57,14; Mal 3,1; Mt 3,3; Mk 1,3; L 3,4; J 1,23)4Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. (Iz 49,11; L 3,5)5And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Iz 1,20; L 3,6)
The Word of God Stands Forever
6A voice says, “Cry!” And I said,[3] “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty[4] is like the flower of the field. (Jb 14,2; Ž 102,11; Ž 103,15; Jk 1,10; 1P 1,24)7The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.8The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. (Jk 1,11)
The Greatness of God
9Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news;[5] lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news;[6] lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” (Iz 52,7)10Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. (Iz 59,16; Iz 62,11; L 11,22; Zj 22,12)11He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. (Nu 11,12; Ez 34,23; Za 11,7; Mt 18,12; L 15,5; J 10,11; J 21,15; Sk 20,28)12Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? (Př 30,4)13Who has measured[7] the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? (Ř 11,34; 1K 2,16)14Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding? (Jb 21,22)15Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust. (Iz 29,5; Iz 41,1)16Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering. (Ž 50,10)17All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness. (Ž 62,9; Iz 41,12; Da 4,35)18To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him? (Iz 40,25; Iz 46,5; Oz 13,2; Sk 17,29)19An idol! A craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts for it silver chains. (Iz 40,18)20He who is too impoverished for an offering chooses wood[8] that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to set up an idol that will not move. (Iz 44,9; Iz 46,6; Jr 10,3)21Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? (Iz 40,28; Sk 14,17; Ř 1,19)22It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; (Nu 13,33; Jb 9,8; Ž 104,2)23who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness. (Jb 12,21; Ž 107,40)24Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble. (Ž 83,13; Iz 41,2)25To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. (Iz 40,18)26Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing. (Ž 147,4)27Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”? (Iz 49,4; Iz 49,14)28Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. (Ž 121,4; Ž 147,5)29He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.30Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Ex 19,4; Ž 103,5)
