Žalm Davidův. 2 Hospodine, král se raduje z tvé moci, nad tvým vítězstvím vděčně jásá. 3 Splnil jsi mu touhu jeho srdce, prosbě jeho rtů jsi neodepřel. -Sela- 4 Vyšels mu vstříc štědrým požehnáním, na hlavu mu kladeš korunu z ryzího zlata. 5 O život tě prosil; daroval jsi mu jej do nejdelších časů, navěky a navždy. 6 Dík tvému vítězství je velká jeho sláva, obestřel jsi ho velebnou důstojností. 7 Učinils ho navždy požehnáním, oblažuješ ho radostí z tvé přítomnosti. 8 Vždyť král doufá v Hospodina; pro milosrdenství Nejvyššího jím nic neotřese. 9 Tvá ruka si najde všechny nepřátele, tvá pravice nalezne ty, kdo tě nenávidí. 10 Rozpálíš je jako pec v čas, kdy se objevíš, Hospodine. Ve svém hněvu je Bůh pohltí, pozře je oheň. 11 Vyhubíš ze země jejich plod a jejich potomstvo mezi lidmi. 12 Ačkoli ti chystali zlý konec a vymýšleli pikle, nepořídí. 13 Položíš je na lopatky, napneš proti nim tětivy svých luků. 14 Pozvedni se, Hospodine, ve své moci! Budem zpívat a pět žalmy o tvé bohatýrské síle.
