BOŽE, PŘEDEJ SVÉ SOUDY KRÁLI

1 Šalomounův. Bože, předej své soudy králi a svou spravedlnost královskému synu, 2 aby obhajoval tvůj lid spravedlivě a tvé ponížené podle práva. 3 Hory přinesou lidu pokoj a pahorky spravedlnost. 4 Zjedná právo poníženým z lidu, dá zvítězit synům ubožáka, zdeptá utlačovatele. 5 Budou se tě bát, dokud bude slunce, dokud potrvá měsíc, po všechna pokolení. 6 Sestoupí jak déšť na posečenou louku, jako vláha svlažující zemi. 7 V jeho dnech rozkvete spravedlivý, bude hojný pokoj, dokud nezanikne měsíc. 8 A panovat bude od moře až k moři, od Řeky do dálav země. 9 Divá sběř se před ním bude krčit, prach budou lízat jeho nepřátelé. 10 Králové Taršíše a ostrovů přinesou dary, budou odvádět daň králové Šeby a Seby. 11 Všichni králové se mu budou klanět, všechny národy mu budou sloužit. 12 Vysvobodí ubožáka, jenž volá o pomoc, poníženého, jenž nemá pomocníka. 13 Bude mít soucit s nuzným ubožákem, ubohým zachrání život. 14 Vykoupí je z útisku a od násilí, jejich krev mu bude drahocenná. 15 Ať je živ! Budou mu dávat zlato z Šeby, ustavičně se za něj modlit, žehnat mu neustále. 16 Země bude oplývat obilím, jež se bude vlnit i po vrcholech hor, jeho klasy budou jako libanónské cedry, obyvatelé měst pokvetou jak bylina země. 17 Jeho jméno bude věčné, dokud potrvá slunce, poroste jeho jméno. Budou si jím žehnat, všechny národy ho budou blahoslavit. 18 Buď požehnán Bůh Hospodin, Bůh Izraele; jedině on koná divy. 19 Buď navěky požehnáno jeho slavné jméno, celou zemi nechť naplní jeho sláva!
