HOSPODINE, BOŽE MŮJ, K TOBĚ SE UTÍKÁM

1 Tklivá píseň Davidova, kterou zpíval Hospodinu kvůli Benjamínci Kúšovi. 2 Hospodine, Bože můj, k tobě se utíkám, zachraň mě a vytrhni z rukou všech, kdo mě stíhají, 3 aby mě jako lev nerozsápal ten, který odvléká, a kdo by vytrhl, není. 4 Hospodine, Bože můj, jestliže jsem něco spáchal, jestliže lpí bezpráví na mých dlaních, 5 jestliže jsem odplácel zlem tomu, který mi přál pokoj, nebo z prázdných ohledů jsem šetřil protivníka, 6 ať nepřítel stíhá moji duši, chytí a zašlape do země můj život, ať uvede v prach mou slávu. -Sela- 7 Povstaň, Hospodine, ve svém hněvu, proti zuřivosti protivníků mých se zvedni, bděle při mně stůj na soudu, k němuž jsi dal příkaz. 8 Pospolitost národů až kolem tebe stane, k soudu nad nimi se navrať na výšinu. 9 Sám Hospodin povede při s lidmi. Dopomoz mi, Hospodine, k právu, podle mé spravedlnosti a bezúhonnosti. 10 Kéž je konec zlobě svévolníků. Dej, ať spravedlivý stojí pevně, Bože spravedlivý, jenž zkoumáš srdce a ledví! 11 Štítem je mi Bůh, on zachraňuje ty, kdo mají přímé srdce. 12 Bůh je spravedlivý soudce; každý den má Bůh proč vzplanout hněvem. 13 Což si znovu člověk nebrousí svůj meč? Napíná svůj luk a míří, 14 smrtonosnou zbraň si chystá, šípy ohnivé si připravuje. 15 Počíná-li ničemnosti, zplodí trápení a zrodí křivdy. 16 Kope jámu, vyhloubí ji, spadne však do pasti, kterou chystá. 17 To, čím jiné trápí, jemu se na hlavu vrátí, jeho násilnictví na lebku mu padne. 18 Budu vzdávat chválu Hospodinu, že je spravedlivý, budu zpívat žalmy jménu Hospodina, Boha nejvyššího.

1 Osvědčení neviny Davidovy, o čemž zpíval Hospodinu z příčiny slov Chusi syna Jeminova. 2 Hospodine Bože můj, v toběť doufám, vysvoboď mne ode všech protivníků mých, a vytrhni mne, 3 Aby neuchvátil jako lev duše mé, a neroztrhal, když by nebyl, kdo by vysvobodil. 4 Hospodine Bože můj, učinil-li jsem to, jest-li nepravost při mně, 5 Činil-li jsem zle tomu, kdož se ke mně pokojně choval, (nýbrž spomáhal jsem protivícímu se mi bez příčiny), 6 Nechať stihá nepřítel duši mou, i popadne, a pošlapá na zemi život můj, a slávu mou v prach uvede. Sudiž mne, Hospodine, podlé spravedlnosti mé, a podlé nevinnosti mé, kteráž při mně jest. 10 Ó by již k skončení přišla nešlechetnost bezbožných, spravedlivého pak abys utvrdil ty, kterýž zkušuješ srdce a ledví, Bože spravedlivý. 11 Bůh jest štít můj, kterýž spaseny činí upřímé srdcem. 12 Bůh jest soudce spravedlivý, Bůh silný hněvá se na bezbožného každý den. 13 Neobrátí-li se, naostříť meč svůj; lučiště své natáhl, a naměřil je. 14 Připravil sobě i zbroj smrtelnou, střely své proti škůdcím přistrojil. 15 Aj, rodí nepravost; nebo počav těžkou bolest, urodí lež. 16 Jámu kopal, i vykopal ji, ale padne do dolu, kterýž přistrojil. 17 Obrátíť se usilování jeho na hlavu jeho, a na vrch hlavy jeho nepravost jeho sstoupí. O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: 2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. 3 O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; 4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) 5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it ; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Hilf mir von allen meinen Verfolgern und errette mich, 3 dass sie nicht wie Löwen mich packen und zerreißen, weil kein Retter da ist. 4 HERR, mein Gott, hab ich solches getan und ist Unrecht an meinen Händen, (Jb 31,7) 5 hab ich Böses vergolten denen, die friedlich mit mir lebten, oder geschädigt, die mir ohne Ursache feind waren, 6 so verfolge mich der Feind und ergreife mich / und trete mein Leben zu Boden und lege meine Ehre in den Staub.
