Poučující, Davidův. 2 Bloud si v srdci říká: „Bůh tu není.“ Všichni kazí a bezprávně kdeco zohavují, nikdo nic dobrého neudělá. 3 Bůh na lidi pohlíží z nebe, chce vidět, má-li kdo rozum, dotazuje-li se po Boží vůli. 4 Odpadli však všichni, zvrhli se do jednoho, nikdo nic dobrého neudělá, naprosto nikdo. 5 Což nevědí ti, kdo páchají ničemnosti, kdo jedí můj lid, jako by jedli chleba, ti, kdo Boha nevzývají, 6 že se jednou třást budou strachem, strachem, jaký ještě nebyl? Kosti toho, kdo tě oblehl, Bůh rozmetá, zahanbíš je, protože je Bůh zavrhl. 7 Kéž už přijde Izraeli ze Sijónu spása! Až Bůh změní úděl svého lidu, bude Jákob jásat, Izrael se zaraduje.

1Přednímu z kantorů na machalat, vyučující žalm Davidův.2Říká blázen v srdci svém: Není Boha. Porušeni jsou, a ohavnou páší nepravost; není, kdo by činil dobré.3Bůh s nebe popatřil na syny lidské, aby viděl, byl-li by kdo rozumný a hledající Boha.4Aj, každý z nich nazpět odšel, napořád neužiteční učiněni jsou; není, kdo by činil dobré, není ani jednoho.5Zdaliž nevědí všickni činitelé nepravosti, lid můj sžírajíce, jako by chléb jedli? Boha pak nevzývají.6Tuť se náramně strašiti budou, kdež není strachu. Bůh zajisté rozptýlí kosti těch, kteříž tě vojensky oblehli; zahanbíš je, nebo Bůh pohrdl jimi. [ (Psalms 53:7) Ó by z Siona dáno bylo spasení Izraelovi. Když Bůh zase přivede zajaté lidu svého, plésati bude Jákob, a veseliti se Izrael. ]

Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.2God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.3Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.4Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.5There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.6Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you; you put them to shame, for God has rejected them.
