耶利米书 29

1-2 耶哥尼雅王、太后、宮廷侍臣、猶大和耶路撒冷的官員、技工和工匠被尼布甲尼撒王擄到巴比倫後，耶利米先知從耶路撒冷寄信給被擄之人中倖存的長老、先知和眾民。 3 猶大王西底迦派沙番的兒子以利亞薩和希勒迦的兒子基瑪利把這封信送給巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒。以下是信的內容： 4 以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華對所有從耶路撒冷被擄到巴比倫的人說： 5 「你們要建造房子住下來，要耕種田園，吃田中的出產。 6 你們要娶妻生子，也要給你們的兒女娶妻選夫，使他們生兒育女，你們好在那裡人丁興旺，不致人口減少。 7 你們要為所住的城市謀求福祉，向耶和華禱告，因為你們的福祉有賴於那城的福祉。」 8 以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：「不要被你們中間的先知和占卜者欺騙，不要聽信他們做的夢。 9 他們以我的名義對你們說假預言，其實我並沒有差遣他們。這是耶和華說的。」 10 耶和華說：「你們被擄到巴比倫七十年期滿後，我就要眷顧你們，成就我充滿恩典的應許，把你們帶回這地方。 11 因為我知道我為你們安排的計劃。我的計劃不是要降禍給你們，而是要賜福給你們，使你們的未來充滿希望。這是耶和華說的。 12 那時，你們必呼求我，向我禱告，我也必垂聽。 13 你們尋求我，就必尋見。只要你們全心尋求我， 14 我必讓你們尋見。這是耶和華說的。我必把你們從流放之地招聚起來，使你們回到故土。這是耶和華說的。 15 「你們說耶和華在巴比倫為你們選立了先知， 16 但論到坐在大衛寶座上的君王和這城裡的百姓，就是沒有與你們一同被擄的同胞， 17 萬軍之耶和華這樣說，『看啊，我必使戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫臨到他們，使他們像爛得不能吃的無花果。 18 我要使他們飽受戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫之災，使他們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。在我流放他們去的地方，他們必受凌辱、嘲笑、譏諷和咒詛。 19 這都是因為他們不聽我的話。這是耶和華說的。我曾屢次差遣我的僕人——眾先知去警告他們，他們卻不肯聽。』這是耶和華說的。 20 因此，你們這些從耶路撒冷被擄到巴比倫的人啊！要聽耶和華的話。 21 以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：『哥賴雅的兒子亞哈和瑪西雅的兒子西底迦以我的名義說假預言，我要把他們交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手中，讓他當著你們的面處死他們。 22 被擄到巴比倫的猶大人咒詛人的時候會說，「願耶和華使你的下場像被巴比倫王燒死的西底迦和亞哈一樣！」 23 因為他們二人在以色列做了惡事，與他人的妻子通姦。我沒有差派他們，他們卻奉我的名說假預言。我知道他們的所作所為，我對這一切瞭若指掌。』這是耶和華說的。」 24 耶和華吩咐我對尼希蘭人示瑪雅說： 25 「以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說，你曾以自己的名義寫信給住在耶路撒冷的眾民、瑪西雅的兒子西番雅祭司及其他祭司。你在信中對西番雅說， 26 『耶和華已立你為祭司代替耶何耶大，管理耶和華的殿，負責拘捕妄自發預言的狂人，給他們戴上鐵鏈枷鎖。 27 現在，亞拿突人耶利米在你們當中自稱為先知，你為什麼不斥責他呢？ 28 他甚至寄信給我們這些在巴比倫的人，說被擄的日子還很長久，要我們建房子住下來，耕種田園，吃田中的出產。』」 29 西番雅祭司就把示瑪雅的信讀給耶利米先知聽。 30 耶和華對耶利米說： 31 「你派人送信給所有被擄的人，說，『耶和華說祂沒有差遣尼希蘭人示瑪雅，他卻說預言，誘使你們聽信謊言， 32 所以耶和華必懲罰他和他的後代，使他斷子絕孫，看不到耶和華賜給祂子民的福祉，因為他說了悖逆耶和華的話。這是耶和華說的。』」

1 These are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the surviving elders of the exiles, and to the priests, the prophets, and all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. (耶23:33; 结8:1) 2 This was after King Jeconiah and the queen mother, the eunuchs, the officials of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metal workers had departed from Jerusalem. (王下24:12; 王下24:14; 耶24:1) 3 The letter was sent by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. It said: (代上6:13; 代下34:8) 4 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5 Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. (耶29:28) 6 Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. 7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. (拉6:10; 提前2:1) 8 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream,[1] (耶5:31; 耶6:14; 耶27:9; 耶27:15) 9 for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, declares the Lord. (耶5:31; 耶29:31) 10 “For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. (耶24:6; 耶25:12; 耶27:22; 耶33:14) 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[2] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (赛55:8; 耶31:17) 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. (耶33:3; 但9:3) 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. (利26:39; 申4:29; 申30:1; 代下15:2; 诗32:6; 诗78:34; 箴8:17; 赛55:6; 耶24:7; 何3:5) 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile. (耶8:3; 耶23:3; 耶30:3) 15 “Because you have said, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,’ 16 thus says the Lord concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your kinsmen who did not go out with you into exile: (耶22:2) 17 ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, I am sending on them sword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like vile figs that are so rotten they cannot be eaten. (耶24:8; 耶24:10) 18 I will pursue them with sword, famine, and pestilence, and will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them, (耶15:4; 耶18:16; 耶24:9; 耶29:14; 耶29:17; 耶42:18) 19 because they did not pay attention to my words, declares the Lord, that I persistently sent to you by my servants the prophets, but you would not listen, declares the Lord.’ (耶25:4) 20 Hear the word of the Lord, all you exiles whom I sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon: (耶24:5) 21 ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying a lie to you in my name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall strike them down before your eyes. (耶14:14; 耶29:9) 22 Because of them this curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon: “The Lord make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,” (赛65:15; 耶24:9; 但3:6) 23 because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, declares the Lord.’” (耶23:14; 玛3:5) 24 To Shemaiah of Nehelam you shall say: (耶29:31) 25 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have sent letters in your name to all the people who are in Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying, (王下25:18; 耶21:1; 耶35:4) 26 ‘The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, to have charge in the house of the Lord over every madman who prophesies, to put him in the stocks and neck irons. (王下9:11; 耶20:1; 耶20:2; 徒26:24) 27 Now why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth who is prophesying to you? (耶1:1; 耶32:7) 28 For he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, “Your exile will be long; build houses and live in them, and plant gardens and eat their produce.”’” (耶29:5) 29 Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet. (耶29:25) 30 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: (耶29:1; 耶29:20) 31 “Send to all the exiles, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie, (耶5:31; 耶29:9; 耶29:24) 32 therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, and he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the Lord, for he has spoken rebellion against the Lord.’” (耶17:6; 耶28:16; 耶29:31)
