1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— (路24:39; 约1:1; 约1:14; 约19:35; 约20:27; 徒4:20; 彼后1:16; 约一2:13; 约一4:14)2the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— (约1:4; 约11:25; 约14:6; 约15:27; 羅16:26; 提前3:16; 约一1:1; 约一3:5; 约一3:8)3that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. (约17:21; 林前1:9; 约一1:1; 约一2:24)4And we are writing these things so that our[1] joy may be complete. (约15:11; 约16:24)
Walking in the Light
5This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (约4:24; 雅1:17; 约一3:11; 约一4:8)6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. (约3:21; 约12:35; 林后6:14; 约一2:11)7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (诗104:2; 赛2:5; 弗1:7; 提前6:16; 來9:14; 彼前1:19; 启5:9; 启7:14; 启12:11)8If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (伯15:14; 耶2:35; 雅3:2; 约一2:4)9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (诗32:5; 诗51:3; 诗143:1; 箴28:13; 羅3:26; 约一1:7)10If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (约5:38; 约8:37; 约一5:10)
