1Духът на Господ Бог е върху Мене, защото Господ Ме помаза да благовестя на бедните, изпрати Ме да излекувам съкрушените сърца, да възвестявам на пленените свобода и на затворниците – освобождаване от тъмницата, (Ис 11:2; Ис 42:1; Мт 11:5; Лк 4:18; Лк 7:22)2да проповядвам година на благоволение на Господа и ден за отмъщение на нашия Бог, за да се утешат всички скърбящи,3да дам на скърбящите в Сион, да им подаря украшение за главата вместо пепел, елейна радост вместо скръб, разкошна дреха вместо отпаднал дух. И ще ги нарекат дъбове на правдата, насаждение за прослава на Господа.4И ще застроят вековните пустини, ще бъдат издигнати древните развалини и ще се възстановят опустошените градове, запустели от времето на отминали поколения. (Ис 58:12)5Ето чужденците ще пасат стадата ви и чуждите синове ще ви бъдат земеделци и лозари. (Ис 14:2)6А вие ще се наричате свещеници на Господа, ще ви наричат служители на нашия Бог. Ще използвате богатството на народите и вашата слава ще заеме мястото на тяхната. (Отк 1:6)7Вместо вашия позор ще получите двойна награда! И вместо безчестието ще се радвате на вашия дял, защото ще наследите двойно в земята си; вечна радост ще бъде у вас.8Защото Аз, Господ, обичам справедливостта, мразя злосторническия грабеж и наистина ще им дам наградата и ще сключа вечен завет с тях. (Ис 55:3)9И потомството им ще бъде известно между народите и потомците им – сред племената; всички, които ги видят, ще разберат, че те са потомство, което Господ е благословил.10О, как се радвам за Господа, душата ми ликува за моя Бог, защото Той ме облече в спасителна одежда, загърна ме с дреха на правда, като на младоженец сложи украшение на главата ми и като на невеста ми постави накити.11Защото както земята произвежда растенията си и както градината прави да растат посетите в нея растения, така и Господ Бог прави да се появят правдата и славата пред всички народи. 1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor;[1] he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;[2] (Пс 45:7; Пс 146:7; Ис 11:2; Ис 42:1; Ис 45:13; Ис 48:16; Лк 4:18)2to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; (Лев 25:10; Ис 34:8)3to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.[3] (Пс 45:7; Ис 28:5; Ис 60:21; Ис 61:10; Йн 15:8; Евр 1:9)4They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. (Ис 58:12; Ам 9:14)5Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; (Ис 14:2; Ис 60:10)6but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast. (Изх 19:6; Ис 60:5; Ис 60:11; Ис 60:16; Йоил 1:9; 1 Пет 2:9)7Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. (Ис 40:2; Ис 54:7; Зах 9:12)8For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong;[4] I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. (Пс 11:7; Ис 40:10; Ис 49:4; Ис 55:3; Ис 59:15)9Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed.10I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Ис 49:18; Ис 59:17; Ис 61:3; Ав 3:18; Зах 3:4; Отк 21:2)11For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations. (Ис 60:18; Ис 62:7)
