Изгнание Хаджар и Исмаила, сына Ибрахима
9Сарра увидела, что сын, которого египтянка Хаджар родила Ибрахиму, насмехается над Исхаком,10и сказала Ибрахиму: – Прогони эту рабыню и её сына, потому что сын этой рабыни не разделит наследства с моим сыном Исхаком.11Ибрахим был сильно огорчён, потому что это был его сын.12Но Всевышний сказал ему: – Не огорчайся из-за мальчика и рабыни. Послушайся Сарры и сделай всё, как она говорит, потому что через Исхака ты будешь иметь обещанное потомство[2].13Но Я произведу народ и от сына рабыни, потому что и он – твой потомок.14На другой день рано утром Ибрахим взял еды и бурдюк с водой и дал Хаджар: положил их ей на плечи и отослал её прочь вместе с ребёнком. Она отправилась в путь и блуждала в пустыне Беэр-Шева.15Когда вода в бурдюке кончилась, она оставила мальчика под кустом16и, отойдя, села неподалёку, на расстоянии выстрела из лука, потому что думала: «Не стану смотреть, как мальчик умирает». И сидя там поблизости, она разрыдалась.17Всевышний услышал плач мальчика, и Ангел Всевышнего обратился к Хаджар с небес и сказал ей: – Что с тобой, Хаджар? Не бойся: Всевышний услышал, как плачет мальчик там, где он лежит.18Вставай, подними мальчика и возьми его за руку, потому что Я произведу от него великий народ.19Тут Всевышний открыл ей глаза, и она увидела колодец с водой. Она пошла, наполнила бурдюк водой и напоила мальчика.20Всевышний был с мальчиком. Исмаил вырос, поселился в пустыне и стал стрелком из лука.21Он жил в пустыне Паран, и мать взяла для него жену из Египта.
Договор между Ибрахимом и Ави-Маликом
22В то время Ави-Малик, пришедший в сопровождении Фихола, начальника его войска, сказал Ибрахиму: – Всевышний с тобой во всём, что ты делаешь.23Поклянись же мне здесь перед Всевышним, что ты не поступишь вероломно ни со мной, ни с моими детьми, ни с моим потомством. Окажи мне и стране, в которой ты живёшь как пришелец, ту же милость, какую я оказал тебе.24Ибрахим сказал: – Клянусь.25Потом Ибрахим упрекнул Ави-Малика за колодец с водой, который захватили слуги Ави-Малика.26Но Ави-Малик сказал: – Я не знаю, кто это сделал. Ты не говорил мне, и до сего дня я не слышал об этом.27Ибрахим привёл мелкий и крупный скот и дал Ави-Малику, и они заключили союз.28Ибрахим отделил из стада семь молодых овец,29и Ави-Малик спросил Ибрахима: – Что означают эти семь молодых овец, которых ты отделил особо?30Он ответил: – Прими от меня семь этих молодых овец как свидетельство того, что я выкопал этот колодец, и он мой.31Вот почему то место было названо Беэр-Шева («колодец семи, колодец клятвы»): ведь они оба дали там клятву.32Заключив договор в Беэр-Шеве, Ави-Малик и Фихол, начальник его войска, вернулись на землю филистимлян.33Ибрахим посадил в Беэр-Шеве тамариск и призвал там имя Вечного, Кто есть Бог навеки.34Ибрахим жил на земле филистимлян долгое время.
1Tal como el SEÑOR lo había dicho, se ocupó de Sara y cumplió con la promesa que le había hecho.2Sara quedó embarazada y le dio un hijo a Abraham en su vejez. Esto sucedió en el tiempo anunciado por Dios.3Al hijo que Sara le dio, Abraham le puso por nombre Isaac.[1]4Cuando su hijo Isaac cumplió ocho días de nacido, Abraham lo circuncidó, tal como Dios le había ordenado.5Abraham tenía ya cien años cuando nació su hijo Isaac.6Sara dijo entonces: «Dios me ha hecho reír, y todos los que se enteren de que he tenido un hijo se reirán conmigo.7¿Quién le hubiera dicho a Abraham que Sara amamantaría hijos? Sin embargo, le he dado un hijo en su vejez».
Expulsión de Agar e Ismael
8El niño Isaac creció y fue destetado. Ese mismo día, Abraham hizo un gran banquete.9Pero Sara se dio cuenta de que el hijo que Agar la egipcia le había dado a Abraham se burlaba de su hijo Isaac.[2]10Por eso le dijo a Abraham: ―¡Echa de aquí a esa esclava y a su hijo! El hijo de esa esclava jamás tendrá parte en la herencia con mi hijo Isaac.11Este asunto angustió mucho a Abraham porque se trataba de su propio hijo.12Pero Dios le dijo a Abraham: «No te angusties por el muchacho ni por la esclava. Hazle caso a Sara, porque tu descendencia se establecerá por medio de Isaac.13Pero también del hijo de la esclava haré una gran nación, porque es hijo tuyo».14Al día siguiente, Abraham se levantó de madrugada, tomó un pan y un odre de agua, y se los dio a Agar, poniéndoselos sobre el hombro. Luego le entregó a su hijo y la despidió. Agar partió y anduvo errante por el desierto de Berseba.15Cuando se acabó el agua del odre, puso al niño debajo de un arbusto16y fue a sentarse sola a cierta distancia,[3] pues pensaba: «No quiero ver morir al niño». En cuanto ella se sentó, comenzó a llorar desconsoladamente.17Cuando Dios oyó al niño sollozar, el ángel de Dios llamó a Agar desde el cielo y le dijo: «¿Qué te pasa, Agar? No temas, pues Dios ha escuchado los sollozos del niño.18Levántate y tómalo de la mano, que yo haré de él una gran nación».19En ese momento Dios le abrió a Agar los ojos, y ella vio un pozo de agua. En seguida fue a llenar el odre y le dio de beber al niño.20Dios acompañó al niño, y este fue creciendo; vivió en el desierto y se convirtió en un experto arquero;21habitó en el desierto de Parán y su madre lo casó con una egipcia.
Pacto entre Abraham y Abimélec
22En aquel tiempo, Abimélec, que estaba acompañado por Ficol, jefe de su ejército, le dijo a Abraham: ―Dios está contigo en todo lo que haces.23Júrame ahora, por Dios mismo, que no me tratarás a mí con falsedad, ni tampoco a mis hijos ni a mis descendientes. Júrame que a mí y al país que te ha recibido como extranjero nos tratarás con la misma lealtad con que yo te he tratado.24―¡Lo juro! —respondió Abraham.25Luego Abraham se quejó ante Abimélec por causa de un pozo de agua del cual los siervos de Abimélec se habían apropiado.26Pero Abimélec dijo: ―No sé quién pudo haberlo hecho. Me acabo de enterar, pues tú no me lo habías dicho.27Entonces Abraham llevó ovejas y vacas, y se las dio a Abimélec, y los dos hicieron un pacto.28Pero Abraham apartó siete corderas del rebaño,29por lo que Abimélec le preguntó: ―¿Qué pasa? ¿Por qué has apartado estas siete corderas?30―Acepta estas siete corderas —le contestó Abraham—. Ellas servirán de prueba de que yo cavé este pozo.31Por eso a aquel lugar le dieron el nombre de Berseba,[4] porque allí los dos hicieron un juramento.32Después de haber hecho el pacto en Berseba, Abimélec y Ficol, el jefe de su ejército, volvieron al país de los filisteos.33Abraham plantó un tamarisco en Berseba, y en ese lugar invocó el nombre del SEÑOR, el Dios eterno.34Y se quedó en el país de los filisteos durante mucho tiempo.

God Protects Hagar and Ishmael
8And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.9But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, laughing.[2] (Быт 16:1; Быт 16:15; Гал 4:29)10So she said to Abraham, “Cast out this slave woman with her son, for the son of this slave woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac.” (Гал 4:30)11And the thing was very displeasing to Abraham on account of his son.12But God said to Abraham, “Be not displeased because of the boy and because of your slave woman. Whatever Sarah says to you, do as she tells you, for through Isaac shall your offspring be named. And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.18Up! Lift up the boy, and hold him fast with your hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”19Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. A Treaty with Abimelech
22At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army said to Abraham, “God is with you in all that you do. (Быт 20:2; Быт 26:1; Быт 26:26; Быт 26:28)23Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my descendants or with my posterity, but as I have dealt kindly with you, so you will deal with me and with the land where you have sojourned.” (Быт 20:14)24And Abraham said, “I will swear.”25When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech’s servants had seized, (Быт 26:15; Быт 26:18; Быт 26:20)26Abimelech said, “I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, and I have not heard of it until today.”27So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two men made a covenant. (Быт 26:31)28Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock apart.29And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?”30He said, “These seven ewe lambs you will take from my hand, that this[3] may be a witness for me that I dug this well.”31Therefore that place was called Beersheba,[4] because there both of them swore an oath.
