1 Las misericordias de YHVH cantaré perpetuamente, De generación en generación haré notoria tu fidelidad con mi boca; 2 Porque dije: La misericordia será edificada para siempre, En los cielos mismos establecerás tu verdad. 3 Hice pacto con mi escogido, Juré a David mi siervo, diciendo: 4 Confirmaré tu linaje para siempre, Y edificaré tu trono de generación en generación. Selah 5 Los cielos confesarán tus maravillas, oh YHVH, Y también tu fidelidad en la congregación de los santos. 6 Porque, ¿quién entre los cielos puede compararse a YHVH? ¿Quién entre los seres divinos se asemeja a YHVH, 7 Dios terrible en el consejo de los santos, Temido por todos los que están a su alrededor? 8 Oh YHVH, ’Elohim Sebaot, ¿quién como Tú, poderoso YH? Tu fidelidad te rodea. 9 Tú dominas la soberbia del mar; Cuando se encrespan sus olas, Tú las sosiegas. 10 Como a herido de muerte, Tú quebrantaste a Rahab; Con tu brazo fuerte esparciste a tus enemigos. 11 Tuyos son los cielos, tuya también la tierra, El mundo y su plenitud, Tú lo fundaste. 12 El norte y el sur, tú los creaste, El Tabor y el Hermón se regocijan en tu Nombre. 13 Tuyo es el brazo potente, Fuerte es tu mano, Exaltada tu diestra. 14 La justicia y el derecho son el fundamento de tu trono, La misericordia y la verdad van delante de tu rostro. 15 ¡Bienaventurado el pueblo que conoce el grito de júbilo! Andarán a la luz de tu rostro, oh YHVH; 16 En tu Nombre se alegrarán todo el día, Y por tu justicia serán enaltecidos. 17 Porque Tú eres el esplendor de su potencia, Y por tu buena voluntad exaltarás nuestro poderío, 18 Pues de YHVH es nuestro escudo, Del Santo de Israel, nuestro Rey. 19 Antiguamente hablaste en visión a tus santos, Dijiste: He puesto el socorro sobre uno que es poderoso, He exaltado a uno escogido de entre el pueblo. 20 Hallé a David mi siervo, Lo ungí con mi santa unción, 21 Mi mano estará siempre con él, Mi brazo también lo fortalecerá. 22 El enemigo no podrá hacer reclamo sobre él, Ni el maligno lo quebrantará, 23 Porque Yo aplastaré a sus adversarios delante de él, Y heriré a los que lo aborrecen. 24 Mi fidelidad y mi misericordia estarán con él, Y en mi Nombre será exaltado su poder. 25 Pondré asimismo su mano sobre el mar, Y los ríos sobre su diestra. 26 Él clamará a mí: ¡Tú eres mi Padre, Mi Dios y la Roca de mi salvación! 27 Yo también lo constituiré por primogénito, El más excelso de los reyes de la tierra. 28 Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia, Y mi pacto con él será firme. 29 Así estableceré su linaje para siempre, Y su trono como los días de los cielos. 30 Si sus hijos abandonan mi Ley, Y no andan en mis ordenanzas; 31 Si profanan mis estatutos, Y no guardan mis mandamientos, 32 Entonces visitaré con vara su transgresión, Y con azotes su iniquidad. 33 Pero no quitaré de él mi misercordia, Ni faltaré a mi fidelidad. 34 No olvidaré mi pacto, Ni mudaré lo que salió de mis labios. 35 Una vez juré por mi santidad, Y no mentiré a David: 36 Su linaje será para siempre, Y su trono como el sol delante de mí. 37 Será establecido para siempre, como la luna, Testigo fiel en el firmamento. Selah 38 Pero ahora Tú desechas a tu siervo y menosprecias a tu ungido, Te has airado con él. 39 Rompiste la alianza con tu siervo, Has derribado su corona por tierra; 40 Has desportillado todos sus vallados, Y convertido en ruinas sus fortalezas. 41 Todos los que pasan de camino lo saquean, Ha venido a ser oprobio para sus vecinos. 42 Has hecho exaltar la diestra de sus adversarios, Has hecho alegrar a todos sus enemigos. 43 Has hecho embotar el filo de su espada, Y que no esté firme en la batalla. 44 Has hecho cesar su gloria Y has echado su trono por tierra. 45 Has hecho que los días de su juventud se acorten, Y sean cubiertos de ignominia. Selah 46 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh YHVH? ¿Te esconderás para siempre? ¿Hasta cuándo arderá tu ira como el fuego? 47 Recuerda cuán breve es mi tiempo, ¿Has creado en vano a todos los hijos del hombre? 48 ¿Qué hombre vivirá sin ver la Muerte? ¿Quién podrá librar su alma de la garra del Seol? Selah 49 Oh Adonay, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias, que en tu fidelidad juraste a David? 50 ¡Acuérdate, oh Adonay, del oprobio de tus siervos, oprobio que llevo en mi seno de parte de todos, los muchos pueblos! 51 Acuérdate de que tus enemigos han afrentado, oh YHVH, Han afrentado las pisadas de tu ungido. 52 ¡Bendito sea YHVH para siempre! 28 My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm^[4] for him. (Sal 89:3) 29 I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens.
