1 ’Elohim es conocido en Judá, Y en Israel es grande su Nombre. 2 En Salem está su Tienda, Y tiene su morada en Sión. 3 Allí quebró las centellas del arco, El escudo, la espada y las armas de guerra. Selah 4 Esplendoroso y majestuoso eres Tú, ¡Más que los montes de rapiña! 5 Los robustos de corazón fueron despojados; Duermen su sueño, Ninguno de los hombres esforzados pudo usar sus manos. 6 ¡A tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, Carros y caballos yacen postrados en profundo sueño! 7 ¡Tú, sólo Tú eres terrible! ¿Quién podrá resistir delante de ti cuando se encienda tu ira? 8 Desde los cielos has hecho oír la sentencia, La tierra tuvo temor y permaneció en suspenso, 9 Cuando ’Elohim se levantó para juzgar, Para salvar a todos los mansos de la tierra. Selah 10 Ciertamente el furor del hombre te exaltará, Y te ceñirás con el residuo de inútiles furores. 11 Haced votos a YHVH vuestro Dios, y cumplidlos; Todos los que lo rodean traigan presentes al que debe ser temido. 12 Él humillará el espíritu de los príncipes, Y será terrible para con los reyes de la tierra.

Who Can Stand Before You?

1 In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel. (Sal 48:3) 2 His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. (Gn 14:18; Sal 9:11; Sal 27:5; Sal 74:2; Lm 2:6)

3 There he broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah (Sal 46:9; Ez 39:9) 4 Glorious are you, more majestic than the mountains full of prey. (Is 14:25; Ez 39:4; Nah 2:13) 5 The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands. 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned. (Ex 15:1; Ex 15:21) 7 But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused? (Sal 47:2; Sal 130:3) 8 From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still, (2 Cr 20:29; 2 Cr 20:30; Hab 2:20) 9 when God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah (Sal 9:7; Sal 9:8) 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant^[1] of wrath you will put on like a belt.
