1Oh ’Elohim, ¿por qué nos has desechado para siempre? ¿Por qué humea tu ira contra las ovejas de tu prado?2Acuérdate de tu congregación, La que adquiriste desde tiempos antiguos, La que redimiste para hacerla tribu de tu heredad, Y de este monte Sión, donde has habitado.3Dirige tus pasos hacia estas ruinas perpetuas, Y considera todo el mal que hizo el enemigo en el Santuario.4Tus adversarios vociferan en medio de tu lugar de reunión, Pusieron sus propios estandartes por divisa.5Se asemejan a los que alzan el hacha en la espesura del bosque.6Y ahora, con hachas y con mazos, Hacen trizas sus entalladuras.7Han prendido fuego a tu Santuario, Y hasta los cimientos profanaron la morada de tu Nombre.8Dijeron en su corazón: ¡Destruyámoslos de una vez! Y quemaron todas las sinagogas de Dios en la tierra.9No vemos ya nuestras señales, No hay más profeta, Ni hay entre nosotros quien sepa hasta cuándo.10¿Hasta cuándo, ’Elohim, seguirá afrentándonos el adversario? ¿Seguirá blasfemando tu Nombre por siempre?11¿Por qué retraes tu mano? ¡Sí, tu diestra! ¡Extiéndela y destrúyelos!12Con todo, ’Elohim es mi Rey desde antaño, Que opera salvación en la tierra.13Tú dividiste el mar con tu poder, Quebrantaste en las aguas las cabezas de los monstruos marinos.14Tú aplastaste las cabezas de Leviatán, Y lo diste por comida a los moradores del desierto.15Tú abriste la fuente y el torrente, Tú secaste ríos impetuosos.16Tuyo es el día, tuya también la noche, Tú estableciste las luminarias y el sol.17Tú has establecido todos los términos de la tierra, Tú hiciste el verano y el invierno.18Acuérdate de cómo el enemigo ha injuriado a YHVH, Y cómo un pueblo vil ha blasfemado tu Nombre.19No entregues el alma de tu tórtola a las bestias salvajes, No te olvides para siempre de la congregación de tus afligidos.20Considera atentamente el pacto, Porque los lugares oscuros de la tierra están llenos de moradas de violencia.21No permitas que el oprimido se vuelva avergonzado, Haz que los afligidos y los menesterosos alaben tu Nombre.22¡Levántate, oh ’Elohim, y sustenta tu propia causa! Acuérdate de cómo el vil te injuria cada día.23No olvides el vocerío de tus adversarios, El tumulto de los que se levantan contra ti, que sube de continuo.
