Salmo 129

Salmo 129

English Standard Version

de Crossway
1 A Song of Ascents. “Greatly[1] have they afflicted me from my youth”— let Israel now say— (Ex 1:14; Jue 3:8; Jue 3:14; Jue 4:3; Jue 6:2; Jue 10:8; Sal 120:1; Sal 124:1; Is 47:12; Jer 2:2; Jer 22:21; Os 2:15)2 “Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me. (Sal 129:1; 2 Co 4:8)3 The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows.” (Is 50:6; Is 51:23; Miq 3:12)4 The Lord is righteous; he has cut the cords of the wicked. (Sal 2:3)5 May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward! (Sal 35:4)6 Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up, (2 R 19:26; Job 8:12; Sal 37:2; Is 37:27)7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand nor the binder of sheaves his arms,8 nor do those who pass by say, “The blessing of the Lord be upon you! We bless you in the name of the Lord!” (Rt 2:4; Sal 118:26)
