Cántico gradual. De David.

1 Yo me alegré con los que me decían: ¡Vayamos a la Casa de YHVH! 

2 ¡Nuestros pies ya están plantados dentro de tus puertas, oh Jerusalem! 

3 Jerusalem, que estás edificada como ciudad bien unida y compacta, 

4 Adonde suben las tribus, las tribus de YH, Según la costumbre de Israel, a dar gracias al nombre de YHVH, 

5 Porque allí están los tronos del juicio, Los tronos de la casa de David. 

6 Rogad por la paz de Jerusalem, Sean prosperados los que te aman. 

7 Haya paz dentro de tus muros, Y tranquilidad en tus palacios. 

8 Por amor a mis hermanos y compañeros, diré ahora: Sea la paz dentro de ti. 

9 Por amor a la Casa de YHVH nuestro Dios, Procuraré tu bien.

Let Us Go to the House of the Lord

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Is 2:3; Miq 4:2; Zac 8:21) 

2 Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem! 

3 Jerusalem— built as a city that is bound firmly together, (Neh 4:6; Sal 147:2) 

4 to which the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD. (Dt 16:16; Sal 78:5) 

5 There thrones for judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David. (Dt 17:8; 2 S 15:2; 1 R 3:16; 1 R 7:7; 2 Cr 19:8) 

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you! (Sal 51:18; Jer 29:7) 

7 Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!” (Sal 48:13) 

8 For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you!” (1 S 25:6; Sal 85:8) 

9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good. (Neh 2:10; Est 10:3)
