1Pero saldrá una vara del tronco de Isaí, Y un vástago retoñará de sus raíces.2Y sobre Él reposará el Espíritu de YHVH: Espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, Espíritu de consejo y de poder, Espíritu de conocimiento y de temor de YHVH.3Se deleitará en el temor de YHVH, No juzgará según la vista de sus ojos, Ni arbitrará por lo que oigan sus oídos,4Sino que juzgará con justicia a los pobres, Y arbitrará con equidad por los mansos de la tierra; Herirá al opresor con la vara de su boca, Y con el espíritu de sus labios matará al impío.5La justicia será el cinto de sus lomos, Y la fidelidad, ceñidor de su cintura.6Entonces morará el lobo con el cordero, Y el leopardo sesteará junto con el cabrito; El becerro, el cachorro de león y el animal cebado crecerán juntos Y un niño los pastoreará.7Pacerán la vaca y la osa, Y sus crías se echarán juntas, Y el león comerá paja como el buey.8El niño de pecho jugará sobre la cueva del áspid, Y el recién destetado meterá su mano en el escondrijo de la serpiente.9No harán mal ni dañarán en todo mi Santo Monte, Porque como las aguas colman el mar, Así la tierra estará llena del conocimiento de YHVH.10Aquel día que las naciones buscarán a Aquél que es la raíz de Isaí, El cual estará en pie como estandarte a los gentiles, Y su morada será gloriosa.11En aquel día Adonay volverá a recobrar con su mano, Por segunda vez, al remanente de su pueblo, Que haya quedado en Asiria y en Egipto, En Patros, en Etiopía y en Persia, En Caldea, en Hamat y en las islas del mar.12Y alzará pendón ante las naciones, Para juntar a los desterrados de Israel, Y congregar a los esparcidos de Judá, De los cuatro extremos de la tierra.13Entonces será quitada la envidia de Efraín, Y se acabará el rencor de Judá; Efraín no tendrá envidia de Judá, Ni Judá afligirá más a Efraín.14Desde el occidente volarán sobre los hombros de los filisteos, Y unidos despojarán a los hijos de oriente. Edom y Moab caerán en sus manos, Y los hijos de Amón les obedecerán.15YHVH secará la lengua del mar de Egipto; Con el poder de su aliento alzará su mano contra el Río, Lo partirá en siete cauces que se pasarán en sandalias.16Y habrá una calzada para el remanente de su pueblo que quede en Asiria, Como la tuvo Israel cuando subió de la tierra de Egipto.

(Is 11:10; Is 56:8; Zac 10:6)13The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart, and those who harass Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim. (Is 9:21; Ez 37:16; Zac 11:14)14But they shall swoop down on the shoulder of the Philistines in the west, and together they shall plunder the people of the east. They shall put out their hand against Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites shall obey them. (Jue 6:3; 2 S 8:1; 2 S 8:2; 2 S 8:14; 2 S 12:26; 2 R 18:8; Sal 60:8; Jer 49:28)15And the Lord will utterly destroy[2] the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River[3] with his scorching breath,[4] and strike it into seven channels, and he will lead people across in sandals. (Is 7:20; Zac 10:11)16And there will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant that remains of his people, as there was for Israel when they came up from the land of Egypt.
