1 В осемнадесетата година от царуването на Еровоам, Наватовия син, Авия се възцари над Юдея (2 Лет 13:1; 2 Лет 13:2) 2 и царува три години в Йерусалим. Името на майка му беше Мааха, Авесаломова дъщеря. (2 Лет 11:20; 2 Лет 13:2) 3 Той вършеше всички грехове, които баща му беше сторил преди него. Сърцето му не беше съвършено пред ГОСПОДА, неговия Бог, както сърцето на баща му Давид. (3 Цар 14:30) 7 А останалите дела на Авия и всичко, което извърши, са записани в книгата на юдейските царе. Имаше война и между Авия и Еровоам. (2 Лет 13:2; 2 Лет 13:3; 2 Лет 22:1) 8 И Авия заспа с бащите си и го погребаха в Давидовия град. Вместо него се възцари синът му Аса. (2 Лет 14:1) 9 Аса се възцари над Юдея в двадесетата година на израилския цар Еровоам 10 и царува в Йерусалим четиридесет и една години. Името на майка му беше Ана, Авесаломова дъщеря. 11 И Аса върши това, което беше право пред ГОСПОДА, както баща му Давид. (2 Лет 14:2) 12 Той премахна мъжеложниците от земята и вдигна всичките идоли, които бяха направили бащите му. (3 Цар 14:24; 3 Цар 22:46) 13 Освен това свали и майка си Ана да не бъде царица, понеже тя беше направила отвратителен идол на Ашера. Аса съсече нейния идол и го изгори при потока Кедрон. (Изх 32:20; 2 Лет 15:16) 14 Но високите места не бяха премахнати. Сърцето на Аса обаче беше съвършено пред ГОСПОДА през всичките му дни. (3 Цар 15:3; 3 Цар 22:43; 2 Лет 15:17; 2 Лет 15:18) 15 Той донесе в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом посветените от баща му и от самия него вещи, сребро, злато и съдове. 16 А между Аса и израилския цар Ваас имаше война през всичките им дни. 17 израилският цар Ваас, като излезе против Юдея, съгради Рама, за да не позволи на никого да излиза от юдейския цар Аса, нито да влиза при него. (И Н 18:25; 3 Цар 12:27; 2 Лет 16:1) 18 Тогава Аса взе цялото сребро и злато, останало в съкровищата на ГОСПОДНИЯ дом и в съкровищата на царската къща, и ги предаде в ръцете на слугите си. Цар Аса ги прати при сирийския цар Венадад, син на Тавримон, син на Есион, който живееше в Дамаск, да му кажат: (3 Цар 11:23; 3 Цар 11:24; 2 Лет 16:2) 19 Нека има договор между мен и тебе, както е имало между баща ми и твоя баща. Ето, пращам ти подарък сребро и злато. Иди, развали договора си с израилския цар Ваас, за да се оттегли от мен. 20 И Венадад послуша цар Аса и прати началниците на войските си против израилските градове, и порази Ийон, Дан, Авел-вет-мааха и целия Хинерот с цялата Нефталимова земя. (2 Лет 17:1; Мт 1:8) 25 През втората година на юдейския цар Аса над Израил се възцари Надав, Еровоамовият син, и царува над Израил две години. 26 Той върши зло пред ГОСПОДА, като ходи в пътя на баща си и в греха му, като направи Израил да греши. (3 Цар 12:30; 3 Цар 14:16) 27 А Ваас, Ахиевият син, от Исахаровия дом, организира заговор против него. И Ваас го уби в Гиветон, който принадлежеше на филистимците; защото Надав и целият Израил обсаждаха Гиветон. Не остави на Еровоам нищо живо, което да не изтреби, според словото, което ГОСПОД говори чрез слугата Си Ахия, силонеца, (3 Цар 14:10; 3 Цар 14:14) 30 заради греховете, с които Еровоам съгреши и чрез които направи Израил да греши, и поради раздразнението, с което предизвика гнева на ГОСПОДА, Израилевия Бог. (3 Цар 14:9; 3 Цар 14:16) 31 А останалите дела на Надав и всичко, което извърши, са записани в Книгата на летописите на израилските царе. 32 И между Аса и израилския цар Ваас имаше война през всичките им дни. (3 Цар 15:16) 33 В третата година на юдейския цар Аса в Терса се възцари Ваас, Ахиевият син, над целия Израил и царува двадесет и четири години. 34 Той върши зло пред ГОСПОДА, като ходи в пътя на Еровоам и в греха му, чрез който направи Израил да греши. 1 Now in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah. (2 Лет 13:1; 2 Лет 13:2) 2 He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. 3 And he walked in all the sins that his father did before him, and his heart was not wholly true to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father. (3 Цар 8:61; 3 Цар 11:4; 3 Цар 14:1) 4 Nevertheless, for David’s sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, setting up his son after him, and establishing Jerusalem, (3 Цар 11:36) 5 because David did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. (2 Лет 14:1) 9 In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah, 10 and he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. 11 And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, as David his father had done. (2 Лет 14:2) 12 He put away the male cult prostitutes out of the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. (3 Цар 14:24; 2 Лет 15:8) 13 He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. And Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron. (Изх 32:20; 2 Лет 15:16) 14 But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless, the heart of Asa was wholly true to the LORD all his days. (3 Цар 15:32) 17 Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah, that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying, (3 Цар 11:24; 3 Цар 14:26; 4 Цар 12:18) 19 “Let there be a covenant[1] between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.” (2 Лет 16:7) 20 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel and conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. (И Н 11:2; Съд 18:29; 2 Цар 20:14; 4 Цар 15:29) 21 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and he lived in Tirzah. (3 Цар 14:17; 3 Цар 15:17; 3 Цар 16:6; 3 Цар 16:9) 22 Then King Asa made a proclamation to all Judah, none was exempt, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them King Asa built Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah. (И Н 18:26; И Н 21:17) 23 Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But in his old age he was diseased in his feet. (2 Лет 16:11) 24 And Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place. (2 Лет 17:1; Мт 1:8) 25 Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years. (3 Цар 14:20) 26 He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin. (3 Цар 12:30; 3 Цар 14:16; 3 Цар 15:30; 3 Цар 15:34) 27 Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him. And Baasha struck him down at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon. (И Н 19:44; И Н 21:23; 3 Цар 14:14; 3 Цар 16:15) 28 So Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa king of Judah and reigned in his place. 29 And as soon as he was king, he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He left to the house of Jeroboam not one that breathed, until he had destroyed it, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite. (3 Цар 14:10; 3 Цар 14:14) 30 It was for the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned and that he made Israel to sin, and because of the anger to which he provoked the LORD, the God of Israel. (3 Цар 15:16) 33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel at Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years. 34 He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
