1 С гласа си викнах към Господа, с гласа си се Господу помолих; (1 Цар 24:4) 2 излях пред Него молбата си: скръбта си Нему открих. (Пс 101:1) 3 Когато изнемогваше духът ми, Ти знаеше моята пътека. На пътя, по който ходих, те скришно примки ми поставиха. (Пс 139:6; Ер 18:22) 4 Гледам надясно и виждам, че никой ме не признава: няма убежище за мене, никой се не грижи за душата ми. (Пр 29:10) 5 Викнах към Тебе, Господи, и казах: Ти си мое прибежище и мой дял в земята на живите. (Пс 15:5; Пс 26:12; Пс 90:2) 6 Чуй моите вопли, защото твърде изнемогнах; избави ме от моите гонители, защото те са по-силни от мене. 7 Изведи от тъмница душата ми, за да славя Твоето име. Около мене ще се съберат праведните, кога ми сториш благодеяние. (Пс 142:8)

1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you! (Пс 40:13; Пс 70:5) 2 Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! (Изх 29:41; Пс 28:2; Лк 1:10; Отк 5:8; Отк 8:3) 3 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips! (Пс 34:13; Мих 7:5) 4 Do not let my heart incline to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies! (Пс 94:4; Пс 119:36; Пс 141:9; Пр 23:6) 5 Let a righteous man strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it. Yet my prayer is continually against their evil deeds. (Пс 109:4; Пр 9:8; Пр 19:25; Пр 25:12; Пр 27:6; Екл 7:5) 6 When their judges are thrown over the cliff,[1] then they shall hear my words, for they are pleasant. (2 Лет 25:12; Лк 4:29) 7 As when one plows and breaks up the earth, so shall our bones be scattered at the mouth of Sheol.[2] (Пс 53:5; Ез 37:1) 8 But my eyes are toward you, O God, my Lord; in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless![3] (Пс 11:1; Пс 25:15) 9 Keep me from the trap that they have laid for me and from the snares of evildoers! (Пс 140:5) 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by safely. (Пс 7:15)
