1Duch Panovníka Hospodina jest nade mnou, proto že pomazal mne Hospodin, abych kázal evangelium tichým. Poslal mne, abych uvázal rány skroušených srdcem, abych vyhlásil jatým svobodu, a vězňům otevření žaláře,2Abych vyhlásil léto milostivé Hospodinovo, a den pomsty Boha našeho, abych těšil všecky kvílící,3Abych způsobil radost kvílícím Sionským, a dal jim okrasu místo popela, olej veselé místo smutku, oděv chvály místo ducha sevřeného. I nazvání budou stromové spravedlnosti, štípení Hospodinovo, abych oslavován byl.4Tedy vzdělají pustiny starodávní, pouště staré spraví, a obnoví města zpuštěná, pustá po mnohé národy.5Nebo postaví se cizozemci, a pásti budou stáda vaše, a synové cizozemců oráči vaši a vinaři vaši budou.6Vy pak kněží Hospodinovi nazváni budete, služebníci Boha našeho slouti budete, zboží pohanů užívati budete, a v slávě jejich zvýšeni budete.7Za dvojnásobní zahanbení vaše a pohanění prozpěvovati budete, z podílu jejich a v zemi jejich dvojnásobní dědictví obdržíte, a tak veselé věčné míti budete.8Já zajisté Hospodin miluji soud, a nenávidím loupeže při oběti, a protož způsobím, aby skutkové jejich dáli se v pravdě, a smlouvu věčnou s nimi učiním.9I vejdeť v známost mezi pohany símě jejich, a potomci jejich u prostřed národů. Všickni, kteříž je uzří, poznají je, že jsou símě, jemuž požehnal Hospodin.10Velice se budu radovati v Hospodinu, a plésati bude duše má v Bohu mém; nebo mne oblékl v roucho spasení, a pláštěm spravedlnosti přioděl mne jako ženicha, kterýž se strojí ozdobně, a jako nevěstu okrašlující se ozdobami svými.11Nebo jakož země vydává zrostlinu svou, a jakož zahrada símě své vyvodí, tak Panovník Hospodin vyvede spravedlnost a chválu přede všemi národy.
1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor;[1] he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;[2] (Ž 45,7; Ž 146,7; Iz 11,2; Iz 42,1; Iz 45,13; Iz 48,16; L 4,18)2to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; (Lv 25,10; Iz 34,8)3to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.[3] (Ž 45,7; Iz 28,5; Iz 60,21; Iz 61,10; J 15,8; Žd 1,9)4They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations. (Iz 58,12; Am 9,14)5Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; (Iz 14,2; Iz 60,10)6but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast. (Ex 19,6; Iz 60,5; Iz 60,11; Iz 60,16; Jl 1,9; 1P 2,9)7Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. (Iz 40,2; Iz 54,7; Za 9,12)8For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong;[4] I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. (Ž 11,7; Iz 40,10; Iz 49,4; Iz 55,3; Iz 59,15)9Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed.10I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Iz 49,18; Iz 59,17; Iz 61,3; Abk 3,18; Za 3,4; Zj 21,2)11For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.
